Okay ... I love and hate sonic at the same time. Many of their food items are Very unhealthy. They've added a few healthier... choices over the years - grilled chicken and such. But dang! Even the salted pretzel tastes like someone spilled the sugar inthe recipe! But, if your having one of those 'I could care less' days; feeling depressed; celebrating something... go for it!Everything in moderation ???? Not to crowded. Service was friendly and quick. I like that the server took the time to repeat my order when bringing out order... and also double checked to ensure I had the condiments requested. Everything was super clean on exterior. Usually drive up menuboards are filthy and smuged. Not here. Everything was nice and clean. Read more
Nederland Sonic is notorious for cooking their hamburger patties and tots ahead of time and making a meager attempt at reheating... them when ordered. Sure, you'll get your order very quickly, but the chances of getting a fresh cooked burger are slim to none.These problems don't exist at the Port Neches Sonic. You'll wait a little longer for your food, but it will consistently be hotand fresh. It's been this way for years and is well known in the community. It must be a difference in managerial policiesbetween the two drive-ins. That being said, in all fairness, I do have to mention that the wait staff are always friendly andcourteous.Just my two cents. Not a huge fan of the food. But I go there for my drinks for sure. Especially during happy hours the prices are amazing. Good... fast service even when a little busy. Read more
