Amazing brew, and the classy, brick, iron and wood building is cool - the atmosphere is great, with a sun-deck, and food truck... with amazing nachos right next to porch! This place is tucked away in Negaunee MI and should be visited often! Say ya to the UP,ey! Read more

An awesome Brewery in the Upper peninsula of Michigan. Bartender was super nice and explained the beers to us. The beers were... all really good. We tied all but one of them. Everything was crisp and clean, really good stuff. The atmosphere was also supercool, they have part of the old slaughter house equipment in the building separating the levels. High recommendation. Cool building. Good location by moutbike trails. Good beers. Out of sizes on some merch. Would've had more if we had more time.

Lots of choices (14) in local brew. Nice refurb of older building. Nice addition to downtown Negaunee

#434 was an unexpected surprise opening. I've been tracking the progress of @upbrewingcompany for a couple of years now. Each... trip to the Marquette area I?d drive by hoping to see the OPEN sign. This trip the beer gods shined down from beer heaven. Ona hiking and brew tour with my brothers and sis-in-law, I saw a FB post that simply read ?IT?S TIME!? Timed perfectly forNegaunee's Heikki Lunta Festival. Celebrating a mythical Finnish snow god, originated in the Upper Peninsula. Negaunee wasn?ton the initial itinerary, but that quickly changed. This building is amazing! Another brewery turning old, new. Once aslaughterhouse, it's now transformed into a two floor drinking paradise. With brick, steel, and wood spread throughout thebrewery. The old meat elevator left in place, centered in the middle of the brewery. The Suds... I started with a pour oftheir Saison 6.8%, which quickly turned into my 2nd pour. Their Pale Ale 6.5%. The older (I mean waaaaaaayyyyyy older)brother enjoyed the Tangerine Pale Ale 6.5%. Younger bro and his wife shared the Stout 4.5% & Blonde 5% A great mix of beer, atmosphere, and smiles all around. All left happy that we added UPBC to our list of stops! UPBC is an easy 10 mile driveheading into or out of Marquette. A great addition to the UP beer scene. Read more
