Tried San Marino for the first time after several recommendations. I ordered a large meat lovers and the meat was well... flavoured and generous toppings. The crust was light and flavourful while the cheese did not overwhelm the rest of the flavours,as is common with Ottawa style pizza. The sauce was the best I have had in Ottawa with the presence of nice herb flavoursbalancing the tomatoes. The price point is up there but worth it for the quality and the care of a small business. The pizza was good, not great. I would come back for sure but I wouldn't go out of the way for this pizza. We ordered the San... Marino Special w/olives in half. It didn't seem like the olives and other toppings were distributed very well. Most of the staffdidn't wear masks and none of them wore hair/bead nets. Not a huge deal but a consideration. Read more
San Marino pizza in thankfully had power during the aftermath of the bad storm we just had on the weekend. I went there hoping... that they had power and was glad that they did. They were working at such a frenetic pace and yet still manage to cook for extralarge pizzas in just under 30 minutes. I took the pizzas home to a house full of gas and friends who needed a safe place toshower in charge devices. The pizzas were fantastic and one of my guests commented that you didn?t have to search the pizza forthe ingredients compared to some of the big chains. The pizzas were fantastic and generous with ingredients. Worth every penny!Glad to support a local business. Read more
I've been eating their pizza for probably about forty years now. When my family lived in Barrhaven, this is where we would get... our weekly pizza from. I have always loved the flavour and style of pizza they create. Even now, as a grown up with my ownfamily having moved away from the area, I try to come from out of town to pick up some at least once a year to bring home toshare the experience.
