Their sushi are soooo good ? and fresh and the fried mini shrimps ? omg so good ! Their tacos sushi I would say skip on that... it?s not good ! And the sushi pizza too ? just stick to sushi ;) ?. I always go to this branch, but it seems that they changed the staff, and since then the attention is horrible, today I went... again to order and I meet the rude woman who is the one who now attends, and since we entered she was rude, she talks about ahorrible way, and if it was not enough, I ordered just 2 rolls, and 2 bowls, it wasn?t an order for 200 pieces of sushi, shetells me that my order will take 1 hour, and to top it, was when I get home I find an avocado on the sushi so disgusting, Idon't recommend ANYONE to go to that branch, I have not tried the others but I will never go back to this one, because one ofthe skills that a restaurant staff must have is treating customers well, no matter what happens, the customer always has thereason, but it shows that they do not care at all about the opinion of the clients. Used to love Sushi Shop so much but can?t recover from the rock hard pieces of avocado they tried to feed me in a $60 order.... Could not give them any more chances after this last experience: During the local power outage, we decided to make a largeSushi Shop order for our whole family. We wanted the good flavour of their food and were willing to pay their high costs.Unfortunately it was not at all worth it. Every item that I had ordered had rock solid avocado pieces in it. The first few biteshad us gagging and spitting out the sushi because we were not expecting the odd texture (and flavour). We soon realized thatevery item had more than 50% hard avocado. Completely ruined the taste, meal, and experience. Though this was a one timeexperience, I still believe their quality has decreased a lot over time. Some sushi is served warm (even when dining in, orpicking up right on schedule) and flavours are increasingly lacking. Months ago it was not like this. Will never be eating hereagain. Hard to even think about eating sushi after this experience. Read more

Sushi is pretty fresh and good. Service was decent, but the food is expensive for the amount you get. Not bad if you split the... platter between people. Read more

The food was fresh and quite good. Price is a bit steep, but such are the times. The packaging is quite fancy and reflects the... price. If you're craving Sushi in Barrhaven this is a great spot for take out! Read more

EDIT: we reached out as per Sushi Shop's request. They said they'd follow up and gift us a gift card to make up for our loss,... but have not heard back after multiple attempts to follow up. I will not be going back. We placed a large order via websiteahead of time. I needed to cancel/adjust the order, but the store told me it's a third party company who places these orders andthey cannot see my order, therefore I would have to come in to manually refund me the day of. Plus I'd have to call again toinform them of my cancelation. Because of the headache, I figured I'd give them a try as I was hosting dinner and had morepeople joining. When I arrived to pick it up the day of, the lady noticed that she was missing our teriyaki balls. She quicklymade them. My gut told me she was missing an order of them as I placed 2 orders of the teriyaki ball. Assuming they knew whatthey were doing, I thanked her and went home. (Keep in mind, I placed a huge order with no receipt given so it's hard to keeptrack when it's a rush at dinner time) I was hosting that evening and found we were in fact missing 2 items (I noticed there wasbarely enough for my guests and reviewed my order placed through my confirmation email); another set of teriyaki balls and 8sushi pieces were missing. When I called them, they told me they would honor my teriyaki balls but denied the missing sushiorder. Customer service was lacking and the attention to detail was missing for this large order. First time getting sushi here and will definitely be back. Loved the selection and the clearly labeled menu. The Vancouver roll... and spicy shrimp roll were our favorites. We also got the California roll and the chicken teriyaki roll. Read more
