What used to be known and loved as one of the greatest place in Asbury for soul food is coming to be mediocre to say the least!... the service was poor the man who owns and runs the establishment is old and rude and the mac & cheese taste like a yt mom madeit! it?s always over cooked with little to no taste. Took my mom for lunch. She immediately recognized Mr. Jameson from a TV show she watches on food network. Food is always good... and flavorful. Home cooked food at its finest. Decent prices, great portions. A must try ???? Read more
If you go here it is easy to see why they've been in business so long. I tried catfish, pork sandwich, and ribs. I also tried... Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and sweet potatoes as sides. I had sweet potato pie also. They brand their owndrinks. You're not going to get better catfish this side of the USA, that's for sure. I'm comparing to the set standard forcatfish in states like Arkansas and the like, and this catfish was amazing. Light delicious fry, good seasoning, and finally afantastic comfort food go-to I found. The ribs had great sauce (also proprietary) and were cooked well. I have no criticism forthis place. I think you'll like it and I'm going to be going back so I can try the chicken, which everyone says is The Thing ToTry. This is our new staple for when we want southern food. Best southern cooking in the state. The fried fish is my favorite along with all of the desserts. Use this place for catering.... Everything is made fresh AND they have classic soda pop flavors. The restaurant may be small but the flavors are huge. Read more

Just got finished eating dinner here. I had the 2 piece fried chicken dinner with collard greens, rice n gravy. Bae had... smothered turkey chops collard greens mac n cheese. Everything here is absolutely amazing and tastes great. I recommend the Catfish and Shrimp Combo with Collard Greens and Rice... with Gravy. The catfish and shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection and the collard greens and rice with gravy wereextraordinary. The owner and the staff are extremely welcoming and nice and the overall environment was spectacular. If you arein the area you have to stop by here and order some food. The food here is just fantastic! If you wanna eat amazing food this is the place. You will leave with a smile and full of some... of the best food you can get. That's three times I said the food is great and I meant it. The staff is super friendly and willmake great suggestions.
