Portions are huge. A single serving of the small salad is enough for two hungry adults that are going to share an appetiser and... a pasta. The salad was plentiful, the dressing was adequate and the toppings generous. The mozzarella sticks were good, crispon the outside, gooey inside, slightly over salted batter. The carbonara was again, huge. Plenty for 2 or even three people. Iwas not expecting onions in it, so that put me off a bit. The sauce was OK, creamy but nothing special, the peas were a tad hardbut the fettuccine was cooked perfectly and the pancetta was adequate. Went at about 430pm on a Wednesday evening, were theonly couple there and service was a bit slow and erratic. I ordered a Sicilian Pizza. It was okay. The crust was tough, with a crumb that was too dense. The sauce was very good and the... amount of cheese was sufficient. I will give it another try. But there are too many places nearby with a better pie. Read more
The portions were enough for 2 people and still take home some. The wait staff was very attentive to helping both seat us and... keep us satisfied. The atmosphere did not feel as if we were being brought in and out of a restaurant but as if we were sittingin with family to have a meal. Best Italian pizzeria on LI. I hands down think that they deserve more credit than they get. The staff is so sweet and you can... tell the restaurant is family oriented. A lovely dining experience. My first visit to this establishment and I must say it was quite decent.. I had a trio of pastas,... while my companion enjoyed the specialty chicken dish. Was at the laundromat in the same strip mall as Il Trio and stopped in to grab some lunch. Had the grilled chicken with broccoli... rob panini. Delicious, came with fries as well. Have had it a few times since and very good each time. Also have had the coldItalian hero, which was chocked full of various Italian cold cuts, provolone, Italian roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomatoes,etc.. could barely close the Italian bread to get my mouth around it.
