We ate there three times in one week. Had ribs, chicken, brisket?. Everything nicely done. One complaint would be the half... chicken is written up as ? drizzled? with a honey bbq sauce. I usually order plain with sauces on the side but with it beingwritten that way I went for it. It was swimming in sauce. Ended up all over my mashed potatoes.The chicken itself was verytasty. The waitress said others have had the same complaint about the wording verses the end result! Hope the owners correctthat because otherwise we had great experiences at this establishment. Great place for a meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For starters the beer cheese soup was delicious. The baccon... cheese burger with homade chips was excellent. The establishment was very neat and clean. When you are in the area stop by andcheck out the menu. We will definitely return when we get back to this area. Read more
Pretty decent place in beautiful downtown Nevis, MN. Typical bar food, burgers, sandwiches, ect. The bbq isn't too bad. Also... have pretty good taps and nice cocktails. All in all, a nice place for lunch. Note on my ratings:. 1-2 stars, pretty muchunacceptable. 3 stars,. perfectly fine but nothing special. 4-5 stars, reserved for outstanding food, value, and service. Read more
This place was nuts. My friends and I decided to eat here on a cross country road trip and it was the greatest decision we made.... I got the ?sammich,? which was pretty good, but not great. But my friend ordered a different brisket sandwich that was so good,he decided to order another one to go. I was intrigued so I ordered a brisket Philly cheese steak to go and oh my. It tastedincredible, one of the best sandwiches I?ve ever had in my life. We still talk about this place and would go back every day ifit wasn?t 20 hours away. Read more
The quality of the Iron Horse food and menu have significantly declined over the past two years. This may be due in part to the... fact that there are no longer any other options for sit down dining in the tiny community of Nevis. While the quality of thefood and the amount of food served have decreased, the prices have continued to increase noticeably. The beer is warm and thedrinks are expensive and weak. Beyond that, the staff is of an even lower quality, lacking in professionalism, integrity, andare not efficient in serving. My family used to frequent this establishment and our attempts at giving them business have beenless every year. Unfortunately, this combination of poor service, disappointing food and high prices has our entire family at apoint of, literally, no return. We have homes on the community lake and have numerous visitors and company throughout the year.We will not subject any of our guests to such an embarrassingly poor experience. Read more
Loved the unique Deep Fried pickles Wontons~delicious and presentation like we were at 5 star restaurant. I enjoyed my ribs, a... little light in flavor yet a ton of meat. The atmosphere was fun, busy and noisy. Read more
The brisket dinner was awesome and service was great. Dinner was hot and quicker than fast food.
