Very clean Cracker Barrel. Small in comparison to most in the chain. Went for breakfast, placed orders, only to find that the... kitchen had run out of several of the breakfast specials on the menu (and server had not been informed). Our server wasfantastic and went out of her way to make for a pleasant experience. When the food did come, the serving sizes were more thanany of us could eat. We had a larger group of 11. When we walked in, first off they seemed scared of that size group. The restaurant was not full at... all, they had plenty of tables open, we still had a 15 min wait to be seated. Second off instead of putting us together, theyput us at separate tables, we then had to ask to be seated together & that seemed to rock the boat, even tho there were alreadygroups of that size sitting together! It looks close to 10 min to get our drinks after we'd ordered them, then we waited atleast a hour before we got our food! Now granted the food was spot on, it was really good, hence the 3 stars, but it wasn'tworth the 3 hours that we spent just to each lunch. Our waitress was good and polite, all of our orders were correct & she keptour drinks full after we got them. Haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in a long time, and it'll probably be a while before we eat at another one. To me, it's... somewhere you eat when you're on a road trip lol ???? This restaurant was pretty chilly inside. Our server was friendly andaccommodating, and our food was OK as well. One weird thing was that we were moved from the spot they sat us, to another acrossthe dining room. Our original server came to us and said someone else would be taking care of us, which was fine, he was good.Shortly thereafter, another family came in and sat close to where we originally were and they didn't have to move. They seemedunorganized, the bathrooms could've used some TLC and there weren't but 2 other guests there when we arrived and left... maybethe locals knew something we didn't????? Read more
Decent food. Service a little slow, but we weren't disappointed.
My wife & I arrived about 9am on a Sunday morning--both the parking lot and the dining area were less than half full. But we... weren't seated. The hostess said she didn't want to overwhelm her waitress, so we'd have to wait. For 10 minutes we wandered thestore portion while the hostess and 2 cashiers (who had one payment between them during this entire time) watched us. Havingspent a decade in restaurant management myself, I can say that if they really did have only one waitress, one of the cashiersshould have jumped in. Also, we should still have been seated and given menus, then told that our server might be delayed--youknow, just in case we needed that time to look over the menu. But that didn't happen, and after 10 minutes of being deniedaccess to a mainly empty dining area, we left. The saddest part is that my wife really likes Cracker Barrel and was extremelydisappointed. I don't know if the staff was just that poorly trained, that poorly managed, or if--God forbid--it had anything todo with the fact that my wife was the only Asian I saw in the entire building, but we won't be going back to this location.
