This place is tucked away from the traffic of 23 mile road. Alexander's is clean with an open spacious layout easily able to... accommodate large parties walking in. BIG positive was they had signs inside, outside, and on table displaying specials. Bonuspoints for having condiments on the table so I don't have to ask for them like many places these days. I like to review mom andpop places whenever possible. I went with my co-workers after reading a couple of 1? reviews saying it was expensive. They saidit wasn't true. When I saw the blue hairs walking in and out I knew there was value to be had. I am cheap so don't go out to eatmuch. I planned to get the omelette to compare to the bad reviews but I had a hankering for veal dinner ($10) for lunch. Theveal was absolutely delicious along with tasty garlic toast. The accompanying spaghetti and lemon rice soup with the meal weregood. I had 2 cups of coffee and was offered a 3rd I declined. Service was prompt for a lunch hour. This tight wad will returnon some paydays and those 1? clowns clearly got their head dented as babies. Read more
I originally thought it was still New York Deli. Which I had stopped going to because to service always was bad. What a... wonderful surprise when we arrived. Service was the great. Staff was excellent and the Ruben was fantastic! Highly recommendgiving this place a try. Prices are fair for the food quality. Read more
What a wonderful experience! My wife, our 2 kids, and myself absolutely loved the food. Great food! The sandwiches were out of... this world, and the French fries were crispy and delicious. ????. I wish i could have tried everything on the menu! The staffwas friendly and we chatted with the husband and wife that own the diner. I would recommend this place to anyone. Read more
Pastrami sandwich was full of fat and had a very funky taste. Overall both my husband and I agree we would never go back. ... Overpriced and less than edible food. Response to 6 reply: You remade my pastrami sandwich which I had only taken a couplebites of with a corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was leaner but still had the same funky taste. I love this place! I found it on a whim one night while looking for a new place to eat. The next morning my boyfriend and I went... to eat there for breakfast, and it was soooo good. I had country fried steak and eggs, it was crispy, eggs were cookedperfectly, and the flavor was great!! I've also had a rueben from there, which was again insanely good. The clam chowder is not edible as I can see and taste the flour they used to thicken it ????. It should also not taste like... chicken soup. Thank goodness they didn?t have to thicken the cabbage soup. I also liked the flavor of the cabbage soup.Unfortunately the clam chowder was for a sick child. Update my child?s father returned with more soup and food from here thenext day and it was much better. Chicken lemon rice and fried mushrooms. So maybe they just shouldn?t try clam chowder.
