Reviews for Riccardi's Restaurant in New Bedford, MA

Food is good but they don?t take reservations. Most places who don?t at least let you wait inside where it?s warm. They tell you... to wait outside (20° out) or sit in your car, which means running your car and using up all of your very expensive gas for30-40 minutes. You?re better off getting takeout. They?re not very pleasant to dining room customers. Read more

I only have wonderful comments. The staff is so kind and welcoming. My husband and I just recently got married in May and they... remembered. I was so amazed because this is where we had our first date ever as a couple and will never stop. Read more

I have not had the chance yet to eat in, but have picked up their party platters for large groups several times. It is excellent... food and everyone always comments about it being so good. I strongly recommend the lasagna! Read more

The take out girls that were working the counter today were not pleasant what so ever. I called in my order at 1:30, for a 4:30... pick up. I ordered a party size chicken broccoli Alfredo, and an anti pasto salad for a birthday party. When I got there to pickup, the two girls were not friendly at all. While I was trying to pick up the big boxes of food, one of the girls pushed it overwith another customers order. I understand they?re busy, but if you can?t handle that kind of atmosphere with a positiveattitude then maybe it?s not for you. My issue is when I arrived to the party, my chicken broccoli ziti was dry as can be withNO ALFREDO SAUCE. I called in upset stating I ordered this in advanced, and never had this issue before, and the girl stated Ishould have requested the Alfredo sauce on the side because it?s typically served with just olive oil and garlic sauce. Iexplained I ordered it as chicken Alfredo, so I don?t understand why there would be no Alfredo sauce. She continued with anattitude and said they?ve been doing it for the past year that if you want Alfredo sauce you have to request it on the side, orthey just serve it mixed with the oil. Which I can?t wrap my head around if I am ordering chicken broccoli ALFREDO. If that isthe case, when I put my order in why would the person taking it not say do you want Alfredo sauce on the side, or just the oliveoil mix? I had to drive back to the restaurant, stalling the party I was hosting to get the sauce. When I got there I was told Ihad to pay $12 for the sauce, mind you I spent $90 with a tip left for my whole order I originally picked up. They were so rude, and so unprofessional. I love Riccardis, and I?m very disappointed with what I dealt with today. Makes me not want to ever usethem again as my food choice for a party. Read more

We have been visiting Riccardi's for years, eat in, take out and catering. We decided to go for lunch, my mom is in a... wheelchair, they have a removable ramp at the entrance which is great. Upon entering the first dining room was full so we sat inthe 2nd dining room..fine with us. The service at first was slow and not the most friendliest, as there was only one waitressworking. They definitely need help. Once the food arrived the service was much better. The food was delicious as always. Weordered baked ziti, lasagna and meatball sub. They do have great lunch options at a reasonable price. Will definitely keepvisiting and hopefully they will have more than one waitress. Read more

Always have great food and service here. However we did want to sit on the to go side as we were just there for a quick lunch.... Unfortunately we were not able to sit there as the entire side was full of to go boxes. That doesn't take away from food orservice though. Read more

This is not authentic Italian food, not even close. What they call antipasto is nothing more than a tossed salad with way too... much cheese. Their red sauce tastes like prego and the sausage was so over cooked it was like eating Jerky. If you like Italianfood, go somewhere else Read more
