Important!!! The service I witnessed from Alex Rapoza on the bar was disgusting. He was giving this younger girl lots of free... liquor to the point she couldn’t stand and I had to help her!!! Went to the New Bedford Folk Festival and wanted to get a drink. First of all, the bartender didn’t acknowledge us, let us... know it may be a few minutes, etc. Finally got our drinks after 15 minutes. We were never asked if we wanted another drink andthen had to beg for the bill. The bartender proceeded to do other things after we asked for the bill, we tried to get help fromwho I’m assuming was the manager or owner and we’re told “dude, I’m not the bartender” (he was behind the bar),finally got the bill and because we couldn’t wait to get out of this unfriendly, drab, non customer service friendlyestablishment, left a $4 tip on our $16 bill- he didn’t deserve a penny!!! I have honestly never received such poor service inmy life. Another customer at the bar said it was painful as he was trying to order a drink. By the way, it wasn’t busyinside, but we were blatantly ignored. We went to the Black Whale for dinner and sat at the bar - that is why that place is sobusy - the service was impeccable and we had a great experience. The staff at The Pour Farm Tavern could learn a thing or twofrom them. Read more

One of the worst bars downtown New Bedford, they literally have no comprehension when it comes to owning a drinking... establishment. There are multiple locations within the same area that are far worth going to. The bartenders are pretentious andwill not appreciate you unless you are quiet and pay your money. If you even mention any type of ideological belief in front ofthem that they do not agree with they will shut you off and ask you to leave. Young liberal bartenders, who have zero tolerancefor independent thought. A bar is a place to go and unwind with the intention of having no judgement against you, and this issimply not that. Go there, you might have a good time, but make sure you are with good company that will reciprocate you'rethinking. If you go there independently you will surely be disappointed. Bartenders have the right to refuse service as mostplaces do, which is completely fine. But I assure you that that threshold is held to such a low standard that unless you are ableeding heart liberal you will feel subjugated and discriminated to a degree that is very uncomfortable.
