That corner place you've driven by a hundred times. It's Sunday, you go in for an after-church breakfast. Its small, but packed... with nostalgia. Small, quaint, folksy diner with decent food quality and portions. You kinda expect the waitstaff to be named Alice or Flo -... with an old-school vibe. We enjoyed a later breakfast, including bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, English muffins, and aPhilly Omelette. Only enough seating for 40 people, so it might get crowded during peak meal hours. We went there for Friday fish fry and were delighted by the dinner! We ordered beer battered fish French fries and house salad... with marble rye bread. Everything was hot, that was supposed to be hot, the fish was flaky and tender and not oily. The saladwas crisp and fresh, the marble rye was delicious. This is a great little diner. We had our breakfast at the counter and was able to talk with the staff. They were busy,but... friendly. The food was good. My wife and I shared the corned beef hash and pancakes with a side of cheesy garlic hash browns.Very good food. Read more
The place is small and old feeling but sorta plays into what they are. Back to when times were simpler honestly. Providing great... food and service at a good price.
