Waited for service, maybe a total of 12 people at the tables. 4 visible wait staff, and a manager having lengthy conversation... with one of the regulars. Finally Pieper came to wait on us. She apologized repeatedly. We so few people at the tables, thewait way to long. After that you and the wait staff are at the misery of the bartender who doesn't want miss a talking pointwith the regulars, while you wait for your drink. The blonde tinted hair bartender. I came to this Applebee's it was close to our hotel as we did the tubing thing over Labor Day weekend from Houston. I had been... to a couple Applebee's in Houston before and the service and the food was mediocre at best. In addition it had been a reallyrough day of tubing as I dropped my cell phone and my keys to my vehicle in the river so I was pretty stressed out to say theleast. This place made me do a complete 360 as well as my fiance. The waitress Kylie was absolutely phenomenal!! She did herbest to cheer us up and the food was absolutely impeccable everything came out on time and quickly and was absolutelydelicious!! We ordered the chicken with shrimp Bourbon Street and it was excellent! I kept saying to myself and my fiance whyaren't all the other Applebee's we've been to in Houston as good as this??? Believe it or not I would actually make a trip fromHouston to New Braunfels just to go to this Applebee's in the future!! Server was great, food was pretty good except I got my favorite asian chicken salad and it was mostly cabbage and lettuce core.... I haven't been there in a long time and was looking forward to it but was somewhat disappointed in the salad. Read more

A small little bar and grill. Not a big restaurant as I was use to on Florida but the food was very good and the service was... friendly. I had the riblets and they were delicious. Menu was small to me. Tables were close together. Prices were fair . Weenjoyed our meals. Plenty of food . Read more

Mediocre...It was my first time going to Applebee's. I brought my family which my wife had gone before and said they used to be... good. The steak was really....bitter? Tasted like alot of vinegar, mashed potatoes were bland as all get out and the rest ofeveryone's food was pretty similar. The server was great at checking on us but her attitude was what through everything away,she hated being there, you could tell. Even to her coworkers, she was super rude. A bunch of people kept walking out, but weendured and stayed till we were all done. I still tipped no matter what because I don't know what's going on, they could've beenhaving a rough night. I'm hoping it was just a bad not, if not then it's safe to say that Applebee's needs to burn out orpossibly do something different to get more people hired on so they can have sufficient staff to make sufficient meals and havesufficient service. Waitress was great, the pretzels appetizer, was great, but the entrees were not. I got the prime rib sandwich, and it's $14,... almost as much as the sirloin steak, which I should have gotten instead. The dipping soup was sweet, and they put cheapprepackaged cheese on my prime rib sandwich, which made the whole thing taste cheap. Severely disappointed.my friend ordered thesalad and said it wasn't great either while holding up a piece of limp lettuce. I was charged an extra $2.45 for onion ringsinstead of fries, and that meant I got 5 onion rings. And effectively paid more than the price of the 8oz steak. This chain has been good everytime I've gone. And due to it's distance from me, not that often. We went for Veterans Day and I... like that they've been doing this. Our waitress was nice and friendly and very attentive. Would love to go back again soon. Read more
