I really wanted to love this place, and certain aspects of it I did. The onion rings are amazing, the vibe is cute and friendly... and fun, but my drink was very syrupy (I got the Clear Sprinfs lemonade) and the gravy for my fried chicken could have been moreflavorful. My husband loved his dish- he got the fried catfish and it was delicious. Our service was also excellent- she wasfriendly and helpful but not overly pushy. I definitely want to give then another try with another dish. Read more

Expect to spend between $25 - $30 a person if you are going to have an appetizer, beverage and a dessert to split. Overall... experience was worth it. Courteous, photo friendly spaces , and friendly service all around. A nice experience. Mashed potatoesare everything google reviews said they would be, and green beans were really tasty as well. All my kids enjoyed their foodchoices. It was served hot. And the mozzarella sticks were yummy , like Venezuelan style , a very light flour coating on outside- loved the ranch. One tip: if you?re like me and are hot natured , the 2nd and 3rd floor seating are not for you. The heatreally rises and there is no real way to get around it. The 3rd floor is a small platform really, and you need to watch the laststep as you reach the second floor landing. It was mid afternoon and I was beginning to feel the heat midway into the burger(even with the iced tea) as the fried appetizers plus nice hot food just raises your body temperature. Read more

We were in the mood for some fried catfish. Clear Springs Restaurant did not disappoint. We started with their ?World Famous... Onion Rings? they were delicious! The breading was tasty and most importantly crispy! The order in the picture was a small, andwe still had leftovers. I give them a 4/5. I do wish the pieces were cut slightly thinner to avoid that tough onion bite. Wepaired it with their homemade ranch dressing, it was tasty, but not over powering. I ordered a small fried catfish plate as myentree; it comes with 4 pieces and 3 sides. The fish was amazing! The seasoning, which is advertised as slightly spicy, wasperfect! Sides were: French fries, rice, and pinto beans. They were great, but the catfish is the star here. The tarter sauce, was thicker and had a good taste, definitely no overpowered flavors which is great as the seasoning on the fish does thework. I ordered their spiked lemonade and it was refreshing! (I ended up having 2) Justin was our server, he did great! He wasspeedy and attentive. Definitely recommend and will be back! Read more

Nice large restaurant. Plenty of seating. It?s a little bit off the highway but worth the short drive. Food was good. Little... spicy for me in a New Orleans type of way. Service was fast and friendly. We would return for more. Read more

The food was fantastic and some of the best we have had on our road trip. Everything on the menu was fair priced and everyone... commented about how seemingly cheaply priced the tower of onion rings was despite not skimping on the flavor. I was hungry forchicken tenders and was not disappointed others around the table had chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and burgers.Lastly the wait was not terribly long and even accommodated a last minute addition of a few additional family members Read more

We are here on Monday for lunch. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. This is such a cute... restaurant with an old time feel. The fried pickles were so good! My catfish was okay. The flavor was a bit bland for my tastingand the hush puppies were almost rock hard. Other than that, it was fine. The sweet tea had just the right amount of sweetness.???????? We have been here multiple times and I must say, food never disappoints. Just went a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday at about... 5:30PM and as always it was busy but not as bad as usual. We waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated. The Onion rings really aredelicious. I?ve also had their gumbo, which is made a little different but it still taste great. This time around I had theShrimp Trio plate with rice and green beans and it was by far the best dish I?ve had here. Very flavorful. Can?t wait to goback! Read more

Flavor: A+ Service: A Tea: A Solo dining: A I'm so glad this place was recommended to me. I'm in San Antonio but it was... undoubtedly worth the drive. Everything is so flavorful. The catfish is perfectly crispy but not overdone. I love being able toget a combo plate with fish and chicken. The onion rings were also top-notch. The beans and slaw are nothing special but ithardly matters with how good everything else is. Even arriving before 5:00 there was a long wait so be prepared to hang out awhile. And wait for your food a while. But you'll soon forget about all that waiting when you take those first delicious bites. Read more
