Excellent food here. Every time I come through New Braunfels, this is where I eat. Dont mind the long line, it moves fast and... is totally worth the wait. Excellent Texas Barbecue! More choices than your standard BBQ joint (TexMex twist). Brisket, sausage and chopped sandwich (huge)... were delicious. Get the green beans as a side; they are so good. Slaw and fries were so good. Nothing was frozen or prepackagedas you will find with chain stores. We will definitely be back to Granzin rather than a chain. Play golf in New Braunfels this morning. Decided to stop here for a good barbecue sandwich. Hadn't eaten here in a couple of... years. This is definitely the place to go in town for barbecue. The place is packed, the drive-thru is crowded, but it'sdefinitely worth the wait. Even though it was crowded by food was delivered fairly quickly and it all tasted good. Today asausage sandwich mac and cheese and a tea. Everything tasted great. Highly recommend this for barbecue when you're in town oreven if you live in the surrounding area and make the trip over. Always good restaurant to visit when I am in New Braunfels. Employees are friendly and clean restaurant. Lots of food to choose... from on the menu. I get the Combo Sandwich which has Sliced Beef, Ham, and Sausage on a toasted poppy seed bun served withoriginal Bbq sauce, pickles and onions. Really great sandwich with a Ice cold Tea. If not try the Longhorn Fajita Taco with Yourchoice of sliced brisket, chicken breast or turkey breast on a homemade flour tortilla with guacamole, lettuce, tomato, andcheese. Great BBQ. I had the triple meat sandwich; brisket, ham, sausage. Loaded with meat! The meats are cooked perfectly; not... undercooked or cooked to the point of overly dry. Meats are lean. The BBQ sauce is good; not too sweet or too spicy. Thesandwich had the perfect amount of sauce; enough to give the meat some pizazz but not so much that the bread becomes soggy andthe meat swims in it. The combo came with fries and a drink. The fries are perfect. They look to be made in house. Whateveroil they use was spot on. Fries were not greasy. They were cooked to perfection. They were not the really skinny McDonald's style or the big flat fat fries like Bill Miller's BBQ. Just a nice size. Highly recommend this non chain BBQ. Grab some goodeats here! Read more
Good portion. The only thing was the tortilla was not homemade it was store-bought and it wasn't heated at all. There wasn't... enough barbecue sauce as well and when I asked for extra guac for two tacos it was hardly any guac. I will have to try adifferent restaurant next time. Read more
A pretty good BBQ restaurant. I?m an out of towner but lived in SAT in past. Authentic Texas BBQ - I had brisket with sides. It... was done just right and with subtle tastes. Sides were pinto beans and Spanish rice. Included beverage and bread. Good ambianceand clean as a whistle ! Read more
We called in our order and it was ready on time. The food was good and sides were excellent. Pork ribs were nice and juicy,... however the beef ribs were over cooked, dry, and tough. Finally threw them away. Read more
