The food was terrific but we won't be back. Why? The noise! We had reservations for 6:00 on Thursday. The restaurant was... virtually full. The noise was terrible. We were shouting at each other to be heard. I have been in many loud restaurants, butthis was actually a little painful. Please Gruene Door, get some drapes, rugs, sound absorbers, anything! Upon the recommendation of family members my wife and I went to this restaurant on our 42nd wedding anniversary. The food was... wonderful - especially the pecan-encrusted rack of lamb. We had a wonderful dinner with great service. Think of it as a quietcasual boutique restaurant with a white tablecloth atmosphere. We will definitely be returning this restaurant on our next tripto South Texas. Read more
