The custard ice cream, good, but a meal..? Not a fan. Our last visit, my buddy ordered the taco meal, 3 tacos & a drink, found... a hair in one of them, we got another order of 3. What are the chances of all 3 shells being broken? All 3 were. Did notappreciate the attitudes from the young chatty women behind the window. I got the wrap around tacos that were absolutely delicious. My wife got the taco salad and was equally pleased with her choice.... As you can see by the menus I posted it's more than just Mexican food there is an American flair as well and of course there'sthe delicious custard for dessert. I recommend Hanks to anybody who just likes to get out with the family and get something goodto eat! Read more

This place has really gone downhill. Prices are ridiculous and food is just acceptable at best. We were greeted by a... less-than-thrilled teenage boy who seemed annoyed at our presence. He interrupted me twice, with an attitude, to ask mequestions about my order. If he had waited until I was finished speaking, he would have gotten the answers to those questions.When he called one number in particular, the woman started to approach the window. I guess she didn't walk fast enough becausehe literally screamed the number a second time so loudly and rudely that every customer in line just stared in shock. This kidshould NOT be the face of this business. He could use a little training in customer service and manners. We ordered burgers(which were okay), shrimp and fries, and chicken and fries. The chicken and fries was laughable. I DO NOT recommend thisparticular dish to anyone. It was a Styrofoam container filled with mostly fries and (not exaggerating a bit here) a fewextremely small, over cooked, hard and flavorless grilled chicken "pieces." It actually confused us when we saw it. The piecesthemselves were no bigger than a nickel. It was really disappointing. The fries were soggy and undercooked. We went back up toorder what this place claims is custard. It is not. I cannot believe they advertise it as such. We ordered 4 cones total. Thefirst 2 came out quickly. Then the 3rd one was sat on the inside of the open window for several minutes while the worker waitedfor the 4th. Needless to say the 3rd cone was literally dripping all over the place. It went straight into the trash. I've beengoing to this place since I was a small child. The food used to be AMAZING. My visits over the years have decreased over theyears. This visit will absolutely be my last. If you are looking for genuine custard, good food, polite service, and decentprices - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Read more

I love Hank's! Great custard with a wide variety of wonderful flavors and people tell me their Mexican food is good also. It... opened the same year my mother was born (1947)and she went there throughout her childhood and years later it became a Sundayafternoon thing for us and it will always be a special place for me.
