Amazing food as advertised. Best Falafel ever.
Had their shawarma sandwich with hummus and it was so good. Staff is friendly and the food came out quick. The mint lemonade... was good too! A note, their hot sauce is actually pretty spicy so try it first before you smother your food with it like I didhaha. Parking can be a tad difficult during peak hours but not impossible. Read more
The rice legit tasted weird like they put cinnamon in it. Platter was half empty, barely anything except for rice. If you want a... legit serving go to Shah's, they're only 5 minutes away from Mamouns and they give u a full platter. Look at the pic, I ate somebut there wasn't much more than this to start. I don't know what this place is like when busy, but I was lucky to be the only customer at the time of my visit. The decor of... the place inside and outside is awesome. The menu looked great but I only tried falafel sandwich, babaghanoush salad with pita.kunafa, and the lemon mint. Food is excellent! Very close to the traditional at home. Nice little clean place in downtown New Brunswick. Hard to find street parking on busier days. We dined in and ordered lamb... shawarma (only available in lamb) falafel sandwich, chicken sandwich and chicken platter. Overall food spice level was mild.Taste was ok. I went there based on recommendation from friends however from my dining experiences in CT (Layla?s falafel) andPhilly (Saad?s halal) I?d rate this place as reasonable and not a big wow in taste. Great taste, very well spiced, pitas are super soft, red sauce is SPICYYY!!! (If you can?t handle heat mix a little with white... sauce add more for more heat) I got the Shawarma Plater with both rice and salad, most definitely recommend spending a $1 more.Falafels tasted great!!! Good price with the current inflation and food cost. The two young ladies at the counter made sure todouble check our order and attentive to customers needs.
