Amazing food. Ambience is nice and different, love the low seating arrangement (common in Asian, middle eastern, south Asian... cultures) but they can do a better job with lighting and divisions to add more privacy and separation between sections fordiners. I've always gotten the chicken and lamb family platter from them. This is some of the best Afghan food I've ever had. They're... one of my favorite halal spots in NJ and one of my top recommendations to anyone who visits. They also serve some if the bestlamb chops I've had in NJ. They're a little pricey but the food is definitely a fam favorite so I always find myself going back.I also recently catered from them for a larger event and the owner and staff were very nice and helpful throughout the processand the food was just as good. We catered food from them for our kids birthday. They delivered the food on-time, were excellent at communication, and... collaborative throughout the process. They even suggested I ordered too much food for my party size and gave me greatsuggestions. Most importantly - the guests loved the food! DISGUSTING! I am a regular customer and always enjoyed their food and customer service. Ordered food from there for my daughters... birthday I got 5 platters from them spending over $100 dollars and when I got home i have family over. We opened the food andall the rice were UNCOOKED!! I called the restaurant and spoke to the gentlemen who was taking orders and explained thesituation to him, he understood and tried to help me out. He said he will speak to the owner and call me back. He called me backand said he spoke to the owner/management and they are only willing to offer discount on next order!! I don’t think i will beordering from you next time! I told him i will bring the food back and they can give me my full refund!! He called the owneragain but again they offered discount on next order! This is an exceptionally well restaurant where the chefs are professional and educated on preserving the authentic cuisine. I... enjoyed the mantu and lamb rice plov. I went for dinner at Pukhtun Afghan tonight and had a great experience. Given the current pandemic situation and everything... going on, the place surpassed our expectations. We ordered Chicken Cheese Adana Kebab, Chicken Shish Kebab, and Lamb chops forour main entrees and for appetizers we ordered Bang Bang Shrimp and Mantui. The food definitely delivers to every taste bud andhas the perfect balance. We also met the owner who took great care of us, and also gave us some great suggestions on all theirspecialty items. We placed brunch a order from Pukhtan Afghan on Sunday. We had Pukhtan chicken platter for twelve people. The food was made... fresh and delicious even though it was 30 min drive back and it was more than enough for 15-20 People.The chicken platterincluded Chapli kabab, Adana kabab & shish kabob. The good thing was that they both were put in separate tray. Next time I wouldlove to their try other entree as well. Read more
