Was disappointed. Food was always good but not good anymore. Fries were frozen not fresh cut. Fish was not beer battered but... something hard. Had no taste. Literally sitting atop of a rolling hill (with a rolling, heavily-sloped parking lot), is the Hill House. Places like this have... vanished from much of the American landscape, so it?s a real treat to have dinner at a no-frills-as-it-is-and-will-always-bestraightforward restaurant. While the seating area is quite plain, the staff is much nicer. Places like this are reasons why Ilove traveling across the nation, finding hidden gems. Their stuffed chicken is wonderful. We ordered the grilled ruben w/fries and the cajin fish sandwich w/ a side of coleslaw. They were out of slaw ????. So I had a... side salad. The fish was excellently cooked and seasoned. The Ruben was hot and tasty, the fries crispy. Read more
