This was our first time visiting the new Popeye?s location in Union Township. We are always excited to support new businesses in... our neighborhood but there will have to be some major improvements made here before we would even consider returning. We ordered2 chicken sandwiches and a large Diet Coke at the drive-thru and were told to pull forward and that our sandwiches would bebrought out to us in ?5 or 6 minutes?. After about 12 minutes the gentleman who had waited on us at the drive-thru came out andasked to see my receipt. He then told me that our sandwiches were ready and that he would be right back. To which I thought ifthey?re ready why didn?t you bring them out with you? After another 6 minutes of waiting, I went inside. The gentleman was nowhere to be found and I asked one of the 3 workers for our sandwiches. He then went in the back to get the man who had waited onus. While I was waiting one of the other employees kept stopping what he was doing (coating chicken), looking up at me andlaughing. I told him that it wasn?t funny and that he should keep working. It was very bizarre. Then the original guy came backout (I?m assuming he was the manager or owner) and said that our order still was not ready and that he was very short-staffed(aka I don?t want to pay people a decent wage to work). I told him that he should be out on the line helping to fill orders ifthat was the case and not hiding back in the office. I then demanded my money back and left. It was an absolute sh!t show. So the family meal bundles included a lot of food for a good price. However, I was missing 2 out of 6 apple pies, the mashed... potatoes were extremely thin, the chicken sandwiches looked like a 4 year put them together. There was no butter with thebiscuits which were very dry, and the chicken breasts were undercooked or something it was rubbery. Read more
Stopped their yesterday. All I wanted was an 8 piece family meal. The guy on the speaker could not understand me and I had no... idea what he was saying. After repeating 8 piece box at least six times he finally said oh, 8 piece chicken box. I said yes. Hesaid we don?t have any chicken legs is that ok. I said no thank you and drove off. Management, please put someone at the ordertaking position who can speak and understand English. You are going to lose a lot of business if you don?t. Read more
Our office staff ordered from this location for lunch today. I had ordered shrimp for $13.60 and it was so overcooked the actual... shrimp were plastic feeling, no way edible. This is the second time eating here since they opened a couple months back. Thefirst time the chicken was overcooked as well. Not sure what is happening there but it has so far been a let down. Would notmind paying the higher price if food was actually worth it. Read more
Opening week they were phenomenal! The service was quick , and the quality of the food was excellent. However on my last two... visits I have had a much different experience. The staff seems very confused. The orders from both visits were missing items,and the quality of food dropped greatly. The portion sizes of the chicken was very small for the price. It was also very dry,and tasted old. It is a shame because this location showed great potential when it first opened. I still have hope that it willimprove, but I won't be visiting for a good while. The quality is amazing, worth the visit. The place is very sanitary too. There are toilets available.
