They have gone deeply down hill. And they don't care. Food is terrible. And they dont care. Thinking not soon be out of... business. It's a real shame they used to be our to go to place. Then the pandemic hit. They have not got there heads on rightsince then. As a whole Mountaineer casino and race track will be closed in by next year. Read more
Went to mountaineer for the first time, suggestion to eat at Gatsby and get the philly. First let me say that the... hostess/supervisor was beyond rude, her name is Sam. She looked at us several times and ignored us for seating, once we got tothe table we told our waitress that we knew what we wanted and ordered drinks and our entrées. After waiting 35 min, and withany offers for refills on drinks our subs came out. They were the saddest looking phillys I've ever ordered. It was more vegand cheese than meat. There was easily less than 3oz of meat on the sub and the buns were cold and wet and not juicy wet in agood way but wet like soggy gross. Read more

This restaurant is located inside of the Mountainer Casino in West Virginia. There is plenty of seating available ????! I... ordered the fried zucchini strips topped with fresh parmaschon grated directly on top of the zucchini strips! They alsoprovided a large amount of dipping sauce for you! OMG, they arrived hot ????, and were out of this world delicious! My friendordered the onion soup ????. It was loaded with cheese covering the entire bowl! It was loaded with fresh Vidalia sweet onionsand fresh croutons to absorb the tasty broth. It was absolutely ???? delicious! I definitely would suggest eating here duringyour stay at the Casino ????!! We didn't have to wait in a long line before being seated. We ordered and received our foodquickly and hot! The buffet is still closed; however, the menu selections were awesome ????! The prices are very reasonablefor the amount of great food that you get! Service was good. Our waitress was very kind and prompt. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The quality of food was low.... Fries were not good. The fish and chips was just one large deep battered cod filet that ended up tasting quite fishy. ThePhilly sandwich was bland. Overall not a delicious meal. Buffet is closed they said indefinitely, which wasn't good when it was open. We ate at Gatsby restaurant and it was awful. I... had the club sandwich and french fries. Bread wasn't toasted enough so it was soggy and gummy. The french fries were cold andtasted like they were old maybe from lunch time and served to me and others dining with me for dinner. Chicken salad had chickenthat was way over cooked and was barely editable. Alaskan baked cod had 5 lbs melted butter dumped on top. Do yourself a favorand eat before you go to gamble. Read more
