The prime was was cold&raw no flavor even adding salt&pepper. Au jus sauce was more terrible and undesirable. My spouse had it... too and couldn't eat it. She told them it was cold and they went and put it in the microwave and came back. Told the waitress Icouldn?t eat the meal and it wasn't good. Whole prime rib and everything still on the plate. My only complaint would be that the broiled sea scallops (which we're at market price for 21.99) we're a bit over done and there... was 5 of them a little smaller than a quarter. I've eaten at Johnson'sany times although this was the first time at the NewDurham location. I wouldn't order sea scallops or whole clams from there again, to me it wasn't worth the money. The rest ofthe food? Absolutely fantastic! The baked stuffed haddock and lobster pie are both phenomenal. Read more
Food is reliably decent. Dinner service can be painfully slow, but lunch is usually fine (might be a post-Covid issue; lots of... places short handed). The seafood is good, and the ice cream outside is great. OK for kids but mind when you go if you haveantsy youngsters. Read more
The food we had for lunch was amazing. We both had crab stuffing with fresh baked haddock. The smaller portion was lunch size,... but my husband opted for the dinner size for $4 more and twice as much portion. He also had the onion rings that were soplentiful and tasty. There was an up charge of $3 for them but OMG the portion was incredible. Service was friendly andattentive. We will keep this place on our ?to go to? list. Read more
Our family loves this place for getting ice cream! The variety of ice cream offered here is extensive! There is something for... everyone! And the portions are extremely generous! As a grown adult, I have ordered the kiddie size many times and wascompletely satisfied. I really appreciate the picnic tables outside. Although, they are often not clean so I try to go withlysol wipes. ???? We also love to get seafood when we dine in! Great service and super portions! Read more
Johnson's Seafood and Steak restaurant in New Durham, NH is a good place for quick and casual dining for either lunch or dinner.... Dine in or use the take-out window. It is family friendly in the main dining area and is very clean, well-lighted. Food is goodwith decent size portions at a fair price. Good, friendly service, but can be a little noisy when the dining area if full. Theyhave a little bakery with fresh baked goods and breads? Good selection of local and regional beers on tap as well as a winemenu. Ice cream desserts are excellent. Read more
Food here is great. We usually come for the 2/$25 Fish n Chips. Have noticed the fish going from 2 large pieces to one small... piece at Thursday prices. Will have to really look at if we can afford this anymore. Read more
