We were out for a drive and wound up in New Glarus. We've been there many times usually for the Sugar River Bike Trail. But on... this day we were looking for a healthy lunch. I had haddock chowder. It was absolutely delicious! Hubby had the pan searedwalleye. Also amazing! It's a great place to find healthy options! We did have a beer although...gotta do it! Fantastic food but was very slow today and long wait so one star off.
We stopped here after going to the New Glarus Brewing spot not too far away. The food was good (esp the Cowboy Burger), and... there were several nice patrons there, as well. Some patrons were pretty drunk, though, and harassed us repeatedly for wearingmasks. We just wanted to eat. Not really the fault of the staff, but when nicer patrons have to shout, ?Be nice to thetourists!? as we?re being harassed, maybe the bar staff can step in to calm things down. Read more
7oz Cowboy burgers, with fresh made potato chips was a delicious treat. Many locals were there too enjoying the fish fry.
Had some business up the road in Monticello today and needed a bite to eat. This little place is amazing. Our server cooked our... burgers. I had the mushroom swiss burger with tater tots and beer cheese sauce. My fiancee had a cheese burger with tater totswith shredded cheese. Our server, the food, the atmosphere, the cleanliness all on point. We originally were going to eatsomewhere else. When they were rude and inattentive, we left and found Ott Haus. Glad we did. They make the burgers with fresh ground beef and it makes a huge difference. The garlic cheese curds are also amazing, fresh... squeaky cheese with a garlic dusting. Had the fish chowder as well and it was loaded with fish and had a lovely fresh flavor.Very pleased with my experience and I heartily recommend this place for lunch. Read more
