Hands down the best Tex-Mex on the East Coast. The food is delicious and just how I remember it from growing up in Houston. If... you live within 5 hours of Utica, it?s worth the drive. Fajitas Mexicana is straight fire. Tacos Al Carbon are next level. Washit down with a margarita and you will know what it?s like in Texas. This is my new favorite restaurant. Highly recommended. First time eating here, and for a Texas boy I was unimpressed. The food was just underwhelming. I really wanted to like it,... but out of 4 of us, 3 thought is was ok, and 1 only ate two bites and was done (the chimichanga was really bland). Theatmosphere, and attitude of the staff were terrific, and the price was reasonable. Portions were about what one can expect forthe cost. I really wish we had enjoyed the food. Probably won't be back, there are plenty of other options where the food isbetter in Utica. I'm sad because I really wanted to like this place. Read more
Used to order from here all the time when I worked in an office in Utica and it was great! Decided to get it to go one night and... it was awful and so expensive! We paid almost $60 for very dried meat, under cooked rice, and cold food. Hoping to go back andeat in house to see if it?s better and it was an off day. Read more
I love the fact that there is self service to the chips and salsa. I always get extra salsa for my plate of food. I also like... the fact I don't feel like I'm wasting food if the restaurant forces chips and salsa on the table and I can get as little or asmuch as I want. Been going here for years and I have never had a bad meal. Staff is always courteous. Bathrooms always are cleanand have plenty of soap and paper towels which is a must if you are eating with your hands. Food comes out fast and hot. I havenever had cold or undercooked food. I have tried almost everything on the menu over the years. I love this place! Read more
