The food, drinks, and service were fantastic. The place has a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the Jerk chicken, Bag of fried... chicken, and a Anchor Mule. The fried chicken was crispy, tender and delicious. The jerk chicken had good kick, but not overspicy and the anchor mule was a nice. Overall I would reccomend. Read more

Absolutely amazing. Everything was flavorful. The color purple drink was everything. The vibes and the music was awesome. I'm... craving those sexy wings right now. Grits were creamy with the shrimp. I can't wait to go back. Read more

One of my favorite bars in New Haven. Black Owned. Great drinks. I love the Black Berry Margarita. And the Saturday morning... chicken biscuits are out of this world amazing. The best chicken biscuit in Connecticut. Read more

First time going and I was absolutely blown away. The ambience is very well curated, great attention to detail. Friendly staff... and quick service. We had the jerk fries, sexy wings and I had the bake and shark sandwich. Everything was delicious and not tooexpensive. The drinks were strong and tasty. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The plantains two ways is a must get. I’ll be backreal soon. Read more

Reading about the history of Anchor Spa prior to my visit made me really excited to come check it out. When I walked in, I was... really impressed by how it felt like I stepped back in time to a classy New Haven cocktail lounge. I truly felt like any one oftheir past sophisticated celebrity guests could’ve walked in the door at any moment. We sat in a cozy, rounded booth, surrounded by a wall of books and antiques, and placed our order. Their craft cocktails are phenomenal, and their Caribbean menuhad some great choices. The salt fish fritters were very tasty, and are definitely salty! We also ordered the jerk chicken, which had a flavorful kick. The shrimp garlic fry bread and Anchor salad weren’t bad, and the Cajun popcorn was fun to munchon. Next time I definitely want to try the fried chicken, which they were unfortunately out of on this visit. I had to quicklyswitch to the salad as my choice after hearing the chicken was out, and I do wish I had been offered a protein option to make ita bit more filling. However, I will definitely be suggesting Anchor Spa to others as a great place to relax and have some drinkson a night out in New Haven! Read more

This black owned business is creating and shaking up curated cocktails that taste as good as they look. A friend brought me here... about a week ago. It has a cozy, speak easy chill vibe to it. Low lights, neosoul playing low complimenting the atmosphere, andcute decor. We sat at that bar where the mixologist helped us determine which drinks would satisfy our tastebuds. Each drink Ihad was made with care and tasted delicious. I definitely will be returning. Read more
