Came here with a large party of 16 and we were seated on the outside patio area. We ordered a ton of food and our waitress did a... tremendous job managing all of the orders we were putting in. The decor was charming and rustic and overall the atmosphere wasvery inviting. We were there on a Tuesday evening so it wasn't overcrowded and our food came in good time. We had the tablesideguacamole and the grilled chicken nachos as starters, both were delicious! I had the hatch green chile stew and woulddefinitely recommend that as well! The only caution I would give is to stay away from the fish dishes. We split a few of thetacos with friends, we tried the Mahi Mahi tacos, the shrimp tacos and the pork carnitas. The Mahi Mahi was fishy and chewy andthe shrimp tacos were chewy and overcooked as well. The pork carnitas taco was tasty though. I would recommend staying with theclassics here instead of exploring some of the more creative items they have on the menu. We also tried the fried ice cream andthe churros and both were amazing. We had one underaged person in our party so none of us were able to order drinks (Iunderstand the policy but kind of a bummer). Love their patio. The spicy margaritas are the best I've ever had. Food is exceptional every time we've gone. I'm from NM, and... although it's not traditional NM food, it's an elevated version. Burritos, tacos, everything we've had is good. My only wish isthat the green chile was hot and made traditional style. It would change everything. Read more

The absolute best jalapeno margarita I have ever come across! Good menu variety and all plates were yummy. Our service at the... outdoor bar was the best part, hope to catch him everytime we go. I was actually on my way to another place for dinner, but the energy from the patio caught my attention. The menu looked very... appealing, so I took a chance. The chips and salsa were a great starter. The salsa was fresh and very flavorful. I decided onthe smoked chicken tacos with a side of guacamole and some Mexican street corn. The guacamole was also made fresh and was packedwith flavor. Could have eaten a dinner of just that. The corn was amazing. Liked the crunch from the crushed seasoned chips theysprinkled on top. The smoked chicken in the tacos was perfect. I was not a fan of the tortillas they used for the tacos. Theywere difficult to use for tacos as they were really thick. They also had a flavor that was personally unappealing, but that'sjust my taste. All in all, I was glad I changed my plans. It was a great meal. Unbelievably delicious food! Being from southern CO but with family in the northern NM region, visiting this restaurant on an... East Coast was amazing. SW cooking is hit or miss on the east coast, but this was a grand slam. The drinks were on point, andthe food was mouth watering. We couldn’t stop eating and neither could the kids. They had the ribs, mac and cheese “bestever,” and corn on the cob. The flavors were fantastic. We also got the guacamole, nachos, and the navajo fry bread. Everything was made perfectly. The staff was so friendly and the decor was beautiful. If we ever have another reason to go toCT, we will make our way here. We spotted the Mixed Grill Molcajete for Two from across the way and wished we had ordered it,too. Definitely did not disappoint. Read more

Okay the flavors on everything were superb! The guacamole was made table side and absolutely yummy. Margaritas are so good... that you should skip the glass and just order the pitcher. Finally, talk about ambiance. Take a look at all the detail putinto this location. Even the bathrooms inspired me to do more at home when I get back. Geronimo is a must stop when you are inNew Haven!
