I want to acknowledge the restaurant staff that directed me to order my food through DoorDash as it was my first time to order... from them. The price was also reasonable. I was starving when I ordered curry chicken. Unfortunately, I did not taste like curryat all. I know what curry chicken tastes like. I ended up giving my food away. I love Jamaican food. I live close to New Haven. I travel to Bridgeport, Hartford and Middletown just to get Jamaican food. I also have friends and Jamaican in-laws from whom Ihave eaten authentic Jamaican food. My hope is that this restaurant management will be willing to read my review with an openmind and decide if any change needs to be made. Read more

Love their food. Rice & Peas are moist, I think they add Coconut milk in there which is the way it should be prepared. I enjoy... the Curry Chicken and fish. Good sized portions and seasoned well. You will be satisfied. Read more

Coming from NY I'm use to the diversity when it comes to food. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. The... place and staff and owner are welcoming. Feels like going to a relative's home instead of a restaurant. We ordered a few thingsto take home and enjoyed everything. The food was fresh and well seasoned. Been to a few Jamaican spots in CT so far that left alot to be desired, but this place hit that satisfaction button. We'll be seeing them again real soon! Thank you for a greatexperience. Read more

This is my go to for Jamerican food in New Haven. I can't eat everybodies jamaican food but this is the real deal for me. Of... other places I have attempted to try this is the best and I won't go anywhere else in the area. The plantain is always perfectlyripe and my jerk chicken is just right. The soup will have you feeling brand new by the very next day if you feeling under theweather. They now have out door seating so you can enjoy the weather while you eat a delicious meal. Did I mention how good thesoup is? This is a great place for dining in and enjoying a nice authentic meal. check out! Read more
