Went here the other evening for dinner and was very impressed with the menu! The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and... service was excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Will definitely be back! Read more

Went here during restaurant week and was not a fan. Ordered lamb chops off the regular menu as I know sometimes the restaurant... menu is mass produced. The food wasn't good. Lamb wasn't seasoned, too well done and wasn't grilled. Looked baked and as if hadbeen sitting. Brussel sprouts were salty and the Nutella crepe for dessert was lukewarm at best and served without ice cream orwhipped cream. The service was good and they were accommodating to my last minute request to move my reservation 30 minuteslater due to traffic. I'm disappointed as I've visited a few years ago during restaurant week and the food was good. Read more

My boyfriend and I went to have dinner excited about the good reviews, but were surprisingly disappointed. We ordered the cheese... platter and oysters as starters; the oysters were ok, although they were served with ketchup on the side which to me is aculinary crime and the cheese platter seemed a bit overpriced considering that one out of the four cheeses served appeared to beparmesan that hadn’t been grated. We then had pasta for dinner which took quite a bit to come out of the kitchen, althoughwith covid personnel shortages could be understandable, but tasted bland. I definitely won’t be coming back. Ambience was classy. Food, cocktails were great. However, dessert could have been better ( I hope they made better lime pie,... crust was not great unfortunately). Overall good place for date night dinner. Read more

A very expensive dinner disappointment. From the start the 2014 Brunello di Montalcino listed on the menu at $120.00 came to the... table as a 2016 vintage, no price change offered. Service: lackluster; staff was too busy on their phones to retrieve dishesfrom the table. We had to ask for dishes to be removed. Food: Saltimbocca di Vitelo extremely salty. Branzino AL forno: largepieces of raw garlic in the middle and with barely any salt or flavor. Frutti di Mare: shrimps were overcooked, mussels dry anda lb of spaghetti perfectly al dente but on a tasteless liquid. Read more

Low-key, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in New Haven. The service was very friendly and accommodating (had... picky kids at our table), you can tell that it is authentic based on the menu items and their fresh, delicious preparation.Highly recommend! Read more

The place seemed nice. I ordered the salmon and gnocchi. I was surprised at the small amount of gnocchi that came with the... salmon. The dish was flavorful and I have no major complaints about it. The service was fine although we weren't attended tomuch. I probably wont return, but the food was good. Read more

Superb! Italian dining at it’s finest. Rotating seasonal menu. Perfectly cooked fish. The eggplant appetizer is outrageously... good and decadently balanced. The in-house made pasta is perfect, which is difficult to achieve for many places. I had thehouse Chianti which was a spot on pairing for the acidity of the red sauce. You can tell an extraordinary amount of thoughtgoes into the dish selection and creation. Service was prompt and professional. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. L’Orchio indowntown New Haven is one of the finest restaurants I’ve ever been to; so happy they chose to do business here in Connecticut! Read more
