Oak Haven is such a cozy, intimate restaurant that I feel lucky to have found in New Haven! With an emphasis on small plates and... whiskey, we were sure to try a variety of their menu, all of which exceeded our expectations. Some highlights were the arancini,Brussels, getting to try a whole wedge of roasted pumpkin in their seasonal salad, and the perfectly cooked steak! I love me some oak haven! If Al is behind the bar, my husband and I always ask for him to make bartenders choice cocktail.... However, their cocktail list and liquor selections are all great. Especially if you are a liquor connoisseur, they have somefine bourbons. We have had everything on the menu and no disappointments. Tried the new trout entree tonight. Delicious. Read more

After much research we made the reservation. Food was surprisingly bad. In particular two entrees high priced striped bass were... dry and close to inedible. The waitress was unaware that a wine list existed and we had to ask four times before she agreed onedid beyond the glass wine. It was tight on space Very disappointing Read more
