Great ribs, friggin delicious, and the meat practically falls off the bones. Corn bread is very tasty too and unbelievably... moist, should have ordered more. Pulled pork sandwiches are absolutely the real thing. A bit pricey but all the portions aremore than ample. Ohh, and the BBQ buffalo wings are quite good as well. I will definitely be feasting on Ricky D's terrific grubfor the foreseeable future. Read more
I had the wing and rib combo with baked beans and potato salad for my sides, my fiancé had the brisket kans-lina fries and... chopped chicken sandwich and everything was phenomenal! I can tell a lot of time and love was put into that meal, and wouldrecommend everyone try this fine establishment. When I see a place rated 4.7 of 5 stars when I'm searching for a place to eat, I'm intrigued. Admittedly, I was skeptical upon... walking in. The restaurant is located in a building that in no way resembles a rib shack. In my mind I'm already deductingpoints from my review. I was assuming that this was going to be another white owned barbeque place that employs minorities topull off the look of authenticity. I almost turned around and went elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't. I looked around and sawpennants from HBCU'S, and a few other things that made me feel a bit more comfortable with my decision to eat here. The musicalatmosphere was pleasant, as was the staff. And then I saw the menu. It had what I was looking for. All the right meat selectionsand all the right sides to go with them. Usually I prefer to order a sampler so I can try out a bunch of things. Unfortunately Inow drive a very thirsty truck instead of my good old Honda that only sipped at the gas I put in it. So what do you get when yougo to a rib shack? RIBS! How do I describe them? Fan????tastic! I showed no shame in cleaning the bones of every available pieceof meat on them. And I'll do it again. Soon! Why did I only give them 4 stars instead of 5? Honestly, because I wasn't able totry more of the menu. When I return I plan to do just that and I'll adjust my rating accordingly. Personal Review; Atmosphere - gave me cookout vibes. They played songs from when I was in high school. Service - Nice young men,... attentive but slow. Food - Here for me is the issue. The food wasn?t to my liking. I didn?t like the taste. The Mack and cheesewas dry and not very cheesy. The brisket wasn?t good, a little hard and also chewy. Didn?t seem fresh, didn?t have that softsucculent brisket taste. The Chicken was Very Good. I prefer the bbq wings over the dry rub. For the diner plate & 6 wings was$27.50 plus tax & tip. this spot right here the TRUTH! Had the brisket, mac & beans today and it was smacking. Last week I had the brisket for the... first time, mac, and greens.
