The best in New Haven! Came here with my husband and waited for a table for about an hour. Totally worth the wait. We loved the... old school feel and ambiance of the place. Our server Katie was amazing and so kind, she made us feel so welcomed. The entirestaff was nice. One of the best experiences we?ve had! We had a tomato and cheese pie and a cannoli pie for desert. Phenomenal! Read more

You can't really talk about pizza until you've tried New Haven pizza, they say. Sally's is one of the original 3 'Apizza' places... in New Haven, founded and successfully operated for decades by Italian immigrants from the Naples area. Their coal-fired thincrust pies are charred to perfection and the ingredients are top quality. It's an authentic experience that you have to try outyourself. Enjoy! Read more

My only experience with Sally's was better than any recent experience I've had with Pepe's. Been a longtime fan of Pepe's but my... mind might have been changed. The pies are so similar, but the sauce at Sally's was better. Given this was my first visit, Idecided to sit inside to experience the ambiance. It's old school pizza place and it doesn't look like anything's changed indecades. Pizza was great, service was good. Read more

Just moved to Connecticut about a week ago. Heard we needed to check out New Haven for some great pizza. Holy cow, they were not... wrong. We got to Sally's on Sunday about 15 minutes after they opened. We had to wait 30 minutes or so to get a table. I canimagine you'd have to wait even longer for dinner. Whatever the wait is, it is absolutely worth it. The pizza was amazing, wehad a pepperoni, potato & rosemary, a white pizza, and took a sausage pizza home! Everything was incredible, the potato pizzawas excellent, never had it before but I would recommend getting a small pizza to try it. The charred crust and dough are sodelicious it's hard to put into words, if you have the time, you HAVE to eat here. The staff was great, super friendly and veryhelpful with it being our first time eating there. I can't wait to go back! Read more

Absolutely lives up to the hype. Tried the classic tomato and cheese pie and the fresh basil white. Both incredible. Best pizza... I've ever had. The hostess saw that I didn't know how the takeout process worked and brought my pizzas out to me curbside. Read more

Sally's is the best pizza spot in new haven hands down. Pictured here are the cheese, meatball/peperoni, and clams casino. Each... one was phenomenal even though they were stuck on a 15 minute car ride. Pizza was still hot and there was still a flop. Cannever go wrong with the cheese or clam. Wanted to add two meats together and that selection wasn't bad either. Tony's overallrating was a 9.2. Love this stuff! If you're from far away try to eat it while its hot don't let it sit in the box. Read more
