Decent food, my red snapper just need a tad bit of salt and pepper but everything else we ordered was well done. Nicely... decorated and friendly staff. We sat in the upper section, which thankfully wasn't crowded like the outdoor seating. Tables arespaced a good distance apart. We took our time eating and drinking because of how comfortable the atmosphere was. We werenever rushed by the staff and didn't have to wait long for each course. I enjoyed our appetizers and I couldn't stop eating thefries! Irented up recommending to a friend the very next day. I will visit here again. Read more

Finally had a chance to check this place out with my daughter and a few friends. We really enjoyed it. Nice decor, great... service. Good wine selection. And food was delicious. My daughter had sliders with fries, and she said those were the bestfries she's ever had. My friends each had a steak and also really enjoyed it. I had a delicious paella! Yum! I've ordered from South Bay several times on Grubhub. The food was always amazing. I've also viewed the photos on their website... for the New Haven location and always promised myself I'd go. The time came, November 16, 2021, my birthday dinner with mySisterhood Family and South Bay did not disappoint. The service was exceptional and the food was spectacular. I forgot to askthe waiter for a copy of the receipt, which gives you free parking in the Shubert garage across the street , but hey, it was mybirthday dinner and I wasn't allowed to pay, I did inform everyone but I guess it slipped their minds.
