I came in this morning with my friend at about 10:35, hoping to get one of the best burgers in town, but they said they cannot... serve lunch until 11:00, but suggested a BLT. My friend and I agreed. I love Galen's and never miss complimenting the food andthe service, but this time it was a real miss. The sandwich was served on two very thin white bread slices, one piece of baconbroken to fit the skinny small bread. Wilted lettuce and the end of a tomato sliced rounded out a disappointing sandwich. Nosides, nothing but a no-frills, not very well put together sandwich. And, BTW, it had been cut in a hurry into triangles and oneof the triangles was missing 1/2 its bread. I ate the darn thing, but I will not do that again. I come in usually once a weekwith my friends for lunch. I will be rethinking that habit. I'm sorry. For almost 10$, a drink and a poor excuse for a sandwich. Read more

Good home style cooking and menu selection. All of the staff were super friendly and everything is priced well. The food arrived... quickly and hot. The cream style corn was awesome. The atmosphere and fixtures are dated but the restaurant was clean. Read more
Best. Pancakes. In. The. World. Hands down! I love walking into this good old country restaurant and feeling like I'm in... Grandma's kitchen. You walk in knowing that food is gonna be good! Great breakfast menu--their bacon is cooked to perfection,their biscuits are fluffy, and they make a mean over-medium egg. The servers are always super kind and accommodating, likeyou're family. I bring everyone who visits here now! I haven't had lunch yet, but I know they have the classic meat&3s with theclassic southern staples.
