Having never been to New Hope before, I was excited to try any restaurant in the area as I had heard many good things. My... friends had been here before and picked out this place. It was right on the river and was great place to watch the sunset withsweeping views of the Delaware. We sat outside, although the ambiance inside seemed stellar. My girlfriend and I split theFilet Crostini to start, which was really tasty but difficult to eat (and split!). The crostini was almost too crispy, as if itwas stale. The mix of flavors was spot on, however, finished with a great red wine reduction. For entrees, I got the Chicken,which came with au gratin and vests. It was delicious! Perfectly cooked and the Demi glaze it was served in was perfect! Mygirlfriend got Orecchiette with Italian Sausage that may have been even better. The sauce was a watery white wine but it tastedamazing. Definitely a European vibe to this dish. I would definitely recommend both. For dessert, we all split the Key Lime Pieand Creme Brûlée. This was definitely the low point of the meal. The sugar on the creme brûlée was a little burnt and pietasted store bought. We ended up going to Moo Hope for ice cream after. Don't let the dessert or the view from the outside foolyou, this place was top notch. The food combined with the view of the river makes this a top 3 stop if you are only New Hope fora few days. We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch at Martine's. The outside patio overlooks the Delaware River with a beautiful view of... the New Hope-Lambertville bridge. The atmosphere was fun but not too noisy and there were a combination of sunny and shadyspots due to the surrounding trees. The food was very good and our server, Sean, was pleasant and attentive. My mom and I had a wonderful dinner here. Outside seating with a view of the river. Great cocktails and really good food. The... only negative thing I could say is regarding the bathrooms. When I went to the bathroom there was no toilet paper and the papertowels were not in the dispenser, you had to touch the whole roll to get one. Kinda reminded me of a bathroom in a dive bar. This is my second visit; this time for dinner. Place is beautiful, cosy and elegantly decorated. Music was great. Our servers... John (first time) and Tanya (yesterday) were on the ball, super friendly and wonderful! Had the appetizer specials that werebeautifully presented and delicious (pictures). The flowers on the Bruschetta are edible. For entree we had the chicken stuffedwith Boursin cheese special which was super moist and simply exceptional, and the beef bolognese also delicious. For a second my husband and I thought this restaurant was going to be a bad idea for our toddler… “please leave strollers... outside” sign,“we don't have high chairs”“ there's no river view tables available”, but we gave it a second chance andwe waited out till the waitress came to our table (second attempt requested river view table ) to completely change our vibes.She was very, courteous, accommodating and very friendly with our daughter. Stopped in for a drinks after a ride on the canal...beautiful vintage bar/restaurant with awesome signature cocktails (menu... changes) we will be back...next time we're getting dinner! Definitely want to get reservations especially if you want to siton the deck for a river view. Read more
