Keep driving unless you have time to kill and money to waste. We have tried this place 3 times and All 3 times it has taken an... hour or more to get our food. There is nothing authentic about this place. The only seasoning this place has is the salt npepper on your table. I am all for supporting local establishments, especially when it?s my favorite kind of food! Recentlythey advertised about their new wings, so I thought I?d give them a try? 10 wings ( not what I ordered), 3 tacos, 2 drinks wasan hour wait and $31 before a tip! Tequila Johns, please read your reviews. If you wanna grow, listen to your customers. Don?tbe afraid to add some flavor or seasoning to your food. The time it takes someone to order, till the time they receive theirfood is not anywhere it needs to be and Judging by the reviews, this place will continue failing, without the changes yourcustomers are asking for. It saddens me that every time I have been to this restaurant, there are always new servers. I?m sure this place, like many... places, are suffering by being understaffed. The wait time for your food is rather lengthy, and the food is good. I?ve had theirbrisket tacos and they were delicious, as well as the regular ground beef ones. I like supporting my local community and wouldhate to see this place go under since there aren?t many places in Jville to go to. I?m just confused on the reasons why 3 groundbeef tacos, takes over and hour to prepare? I don?t think anything needs to change with their recipes, because the food isreally good and their lettuce and tomatoes are always super fresh. If they could speed up the food delivery times and maybe makethe portions a teeny bit larger for the prices being charged, this could be one of my favorites spots! Ok, Lonnie, I have made many visits to Tequila John's and find the service and food to be excellent every vist! The service and... bartender is great and to present time we have never had anything but great service. I never thought or saw anything going onbehind the cooler as you can see right through the glass doors, nice try faker! Read more
I rarely make it back to my hometown, but when I do I often stop by here because the food is pretty good and I am usually... entertaining a few guests. The wait time for the authentic food gives me time to spend time with my guests before we eat. Itjust so happened that this year there was a death in the family and I had to be in town an extra time. Unfortunately I will notbe returning again. This was my last chance for this place. Low and behold the same trashy reason I almost stopped coming beforehas found her way back behind this restaurants bar. To save the owner face I won't speak of the raunchy things I watched thisgirl do to patrons who unfortunately found their way here in this family restaurant with children present, but I will say thatit doesn't fall short of taking guys and girls alike, who weren't employees from what I could tell, inviting them into thecooler to make a couple extra dollars tip for herself. And her foul language in front of everyone there is just raunchy. I wastold they had gotten rid of her so I tried the restaurant again just the other night and was appalled when I walked in and sawher. Appalled so much I turned and left. I will find a new place to take my company who expect more from me than what this placecan give. Read more
Taking a drive from Hurricane Mills and spotted this restaurant. Wonderful and friendly staff. Food was wonderful. Met the... owner and he was nice and told us of other things to do there. We are from Alabama and loved this place. Read more
This place is not to good in my opinion it cost 14 dollars for a chicken fiestas with a child size portion of chicken and it... took a hour to get it but it did taste good I have to say when we were leaving I said can I have a cup of tea to go and theysaid no you can't and I said by I just spent $94.00 dollars for food and a &20.00 tip and I can't take a tea with me and theysaid they could not so I recommend you going to another place if possible and they may treat others different but I don't know,they treated me bad . but Mexican food is hot and I had to go immediately to the store and get me something to drink. I willnever eat here again. Response to owners response .Well if You won't to tell the whole story the waitress refuses to give me atea to go, so I went to the manager/ owner and he said it would be against the law to give me a sweet tea to go because they hadsome government organization tell them that they could not bring in or out cups because some kind of of alcohol could be in thecup and he said that he would go ahead and give me a small child's cup I just told him not to worry about it I would leavethirsty, I didn't want him breaking the law on my behalf, I have been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants and I haven't ever beento one that weighted the chicken I guess because I have always had more then 5 small pieces of bites size pieces and I havenever walked out hungry like here. not a great experience on 4/9/22. I arrived around 5:45 was seated right away. My order was taken a few minutes later. I ordered... an entree and an appetizer. lets say it took nearly 40 minutes for my appetizer to arrive and maybe 5 minutes later the entree. Read more
Food was delicious. Service was great. Restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean. Prices are pretty steep but our food was... ready quickly, served hot and fresh and staff was super friendly and helpful. Read more
