If you stop at the Stewart?s in New Lebanon, NY, be careful when having the audacity to ask for more toilet paper for the... restrooms. I?m sure most of the employees are perfectly nice, but the woman I had the misfortune of asking (I wish I?d had thepresence of mind to ask her name) was very annoyed that I asked. When she asked me which bathroom was out and I took a moment toturn and confirm which side it was on, I was told to ?pick one or the other, the right or the left,? and when she brought thepaper over, she was very irritated not to be able to go in and check the other bathroom. It was not until I finished washing myhands that I realized the bathroom was out of paper towels as well, but I didn?t dare tell anyone but the poor soul waiting touse it next. Customer service (or what passes for it these days) certainly has changed. Read more
I was pleasantly surprised by this gas station adjacent shop, enough to give it a 5 star review when typically I never really... give has stations a second thought. Clean premises, friendly staff, fresh, made-to-order sandwiches and ice cream, this was verynice.
