This is a treasure. We were in Groton for a few days for work and I had to see this bar in an old Quonset hut. It is nicely... renovated with a tiny kitchen at the end of the bar. This reminded me of little bars I used to go to in South Korea so I likedthe place immediately. Then a few minutes after we sat down the bartender put upside cups in front of us to indicate we had freedrinks when we were ready. Hank had bought a round for the house :-) We couldn't stay for long, but I immediately felt welcomehere and will come back as soon as I can! Read more

Was this place known as the Copper Keg back in the 80s????

The name is apt - the Half-Keg looks the part, as it is located in a refurbished Quonset hut - and that ambiance recommends it... for those seeking a no-frills experience. The food is cheap, and you get what you pay for. Decent beer selection, which is good, since they don't serve hard alcohol. Read more

Cheap food, great quality. Cute little place next to the liquor store, it was nice to come here after work and get to hear other... people as lively as I am. Wasn?t a lot of room at the bar but it had some nice tables to seat two on the opposite side. Perfectif you?re trying to hit the krusty krab! Read more

Terrible - just trust me, I don?t take the time to write reviews usually. However, after receiving my 2 burnt to a crisp steak... and cheese egg rolls now seemed like as good of a time as any. Carry on, browse a little a more and pick a place that putseffort in your food. Read more

A small bar on Broad St in New London CT. Popular with the locals But I was taken into the fold by two guys as we spoke about... classic cars. The beers cold and served in frosty 16 oz glasses. Lunch and dinner are delicious at the Half Keg. Read more
