We went to dinner here as a pit stop on the way to Burlington, Vt. Alex was our server and she was absolutely wonderful and very... informative. The dishes were unique and she was able to answer any questions we had. It’s got a lovely ambiance! We wouldabsolutely go back again! Read more

My husband and I had a small wedding with only 26 guests. We were looking for a dinner location with a beautiful view and a... multi-course meal, and we were so lucky when we stumbled upon Oak & Grain. The staff was so attentive and helped us plan anabsolutely perfect evening. The view of Pleasant Lake and Mt Kearsarge was dreamy and each course was delicious and absolutelywonderfully prepared. Both of our families have enjoyed fine dining all over the globe, and every person was impressed witheach course and the wine selection. Just an example of how sweet the staff was: I learned that my four-year-old niece hadcornered a server and requested “lettuce and cheese” be brought to her table. This was obviously not a part of her menu, but, nonetheless, she was delighted when she was brought lettuce and cheese beautifully presented on a plate :) Our familieswill always remember this evening fondly. Thank you, Oak & Grain! Read more

Terrible. The worst dining experience of my entire life. The wait staff was incredibly slow and the restaurant wasn’t even... busy. It took almost 2.5 hours for us to dine there. All of our food was over cooked. I ordered the steak medium, and it wascompletely gray and cooked through. When I sent it back, the wait staff had the audacity to argue with me and tell me that mysteak was cooked medium. I’ve been ordering steaks for decades and I know what a medium steak should be. Awful service, awfulfood. Save your time and money and don’t come here. Read more

Our friends brought us here for my NYC foodie husbands birthday. I don't think he was expecting much. He was totally blown... away by Chef Leary's food and presentation. It was fabulous! He even stopped by the table for a chat on a very busy night. Angelo headed the dining room and was cool as a cucumber under pressure serving many tables and standing in as bartender! Knowledgeable, friendly and engaging all while juggling his many hats. Highly recommend. We're looking into staying at the Innnow ... Read more

My fiance and I recently treated ourselves to dinner at Oak & Grain and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The Inn at Pleasant... Lake will be catering our wedding this fall and we were so excited to eat Chef Bryan's food while we were in the area overFourth of July. Our server Olivia was knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was delicious. The scallops in particular are amust-try! If you are looking to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion, I can't recommend Oak & Grain highly enough. Read more

Had a lovely dinner here with my girlfriend. We sat outside on the patio on a warm summer night and the ambiance was truly... amazing. Our server was extremely attentive and the food was perfect. The menu here is always changing with what is in seasonand the chef (who later came out to check on the tables) is quite talented. Overall we had a wonderful time and highly recommenddining here if you’re in the area. Read more

From the very start it is a true culinary experience where the chef speaks to all of the guest in the living room of the inn and... spends 20 minutes describe the five locally sourced courses in extraordinary detail - just one of his descriptions would put theFood Network to shame. From the couches in the living room all of the guests are escorted to their table in the dining room andenjoy dinner at the Inn at Pleasant Lake you do not have a choice of the courses, only an option between two entrees - coursefour. On and I should mention there is only one seating per evening - Wednesday through Sunday but it is certainly an experienceif you are in town you do not want to miss. On the night we were there in late September the menu consisted of a soup made ofroasted parsnip from Spring Ledge Farm, with conflit leek, crispy brussel sprout leaves, a balsamic reduction, and a lemoncréme fraiche. That was followed by a grilled wedge salad with white truffle tarragon dress complimented by blue cheese fromGreat Hall, bacon from Crispy Battles Farm, chimes, vinegar, onions, shaved radish, and sunburst grape tomatoes. As someone whousually opts for kale or spinach I enjoyed a romaine lettuce salad more than I have in a long time. Those two courses werebroken up by an intermezzo of tart cherries in vanilla bean foam and saba. Then after the delicious palette cleanser we hadour choice of entree - my parents, my grandparents, and I all opted for the Pan Seared Canadian Scallops which were served withan orange horseradish berre blanc, grilled Cipollini onions, and micro greens served over a red currey acorn squash mousse. Thescallops were delicious but since the food was so good I asked for a taste of the other entree and enjoyed my few bites of themarinated grilled hanger steak from Ioka Valley Farm that was served with roasted garlic chimichurri, lemon basil aioli, androasted fingerling potatoes. YUMMM. Then we ended the delicious dinner with bourbon spiced Read more
