We have eaten here several times by ourselves and with friends. The food and service was always very good. Pasta, meat and... veggies are all good. Their daily specials are always great choices. Read more

I chose this restaurant for my 20th anniversary. Although there was only one other couple in the resteraunt, the older... miserably woman had to talk extremely loud so everyone would her. She was yelling about Fox news, politics, the lack of policecoverage in town, hates kids driving by her house etc, etc, The staff never went over to try & lower her voice. Was very dramatic& overdone, she just complained to her friend or partner the entire time. Pretty much ruined the small, quaint atmosphere of theresteraunt. Read more

Flavors are terrific - eggplant with penne and tomato sauce was so good. Just really shy on the eggplant. The lasagna was... wonderful. Chianti was good! Read more

I got braised short rib rigatoni. It was tastey, no bread came with it. Maybe thats just the way they do it. Tatsed good. I... would go back and try them again if I'm in the area. My friends chicken parm sanwich looked good. He enjoyed it. Read more

I like to support local business, and it's hard writing such a negative review... but La Piccolina makes it easy. The veal was... like gristly leather, and the lemon caper sauce was overcooked with just the slightest hint of caper, and absolutely no lemonflavor at all. The brussels sprouts were not awful at best. Mashed potatoes were tasteless and had the consistency of watereddown instant potatoes, and a little on the sandy side. The tenderloin medallions were the worst part. They were also gristly, and overcooked. One had a dubious hole in it - perhaps the cook tried to cut out a chunk of tendon, or something else theyshouldn't have served. I asked for medium rare and got well. The wine sauce was also burned. Customer service was OK - butpainfully slow. They didn't even seem that busy, but it took two requests and ~20-30 minutes to get the bill. They were nice, and one waitress seemed to notice we didn't like the meal and cared... I appreciate that, and thank you, but it doesn't make upfor terrible food and slow service. Maybe they focus on pasta, and that explains the positive reviews. All I know is I'llnever go back. Read more

I was so disappointed. I dined here once a few years ago and it was a different experience, very positive and the food was... good. Having come from an Italian neighborhood in Queens, I really miss great Italian food. My husband had never been and Ireally expected that this would be a great place for us to go out to a nice dinner for my birthday. After we were seated menuswere brought and the descriptions seemed pretty great. The first dish, the shrimp and avocado was a little different as theshrimp were hot and the avocado and leafy greens were cold, but it was pretty tasty so not too bad. Sadly then came the maindishes. It was terrible. My husband's steak had a huge hole in it, and despite asking for medium rare it was well done no pinkin the middle at all. The cuts were so gristly that he simply didn't eat it. The sauce for the steak was nearly burnt and themushrooms were most likely from a can and rubbery. My veal limone was nearly impossible to cut as it was so full of gristle andvery over cooked. In addition, it was covered in sauce that was congealed with almost no lemon flavor at all. It was a bit morelike turkey gravy with capers on top. We both had mashed potatoes but I swear they were instant. Very bland without anydesirable texture. Having said this the brussels sprouts were great. After we left nearly all the food on our plates, thewaitress (possibly the owner) came by and looked at our plates and we said we were finished. She seemed a little frustrated /upset, so we asked for to go boxes for the remainder. She did ask if everything was alright, but we were too shy to speak up andshe didn't really probe. As we were waiting for the bill and to go boxes, no one came around for at least 15 maybe 20 minutes, despite the place being nearly empty at that point. We finally stopped one of the waitresses and asked for the bill as we justdidn't want to wait any longer. She did come back shortly and after another while the to go boxes c Read more

I would have to say this place has very good food, I had the spaghetti ttutto mare(something like that... I think I completely... buchered the name... :) ) I will definitely be coming back here whenever I am in the area to try their other dishes. They had anice small but comfy outdoor setup. Did not get a chance to see inside but will next time. Read more
