I was passing through Jersey and I?m so happy I found this gem. Every little detail was top notch; from the food menu, to the... decor, all the way down to the presentation of the food when it came out. We started out loving this place but the food is hit or miss and just experienced another miss. I ordered the Mahi Mahi dinner... which was supposed to come with risotto. Came with a pretty boring white rice, yes for me big difference between risotto andrice. The fish itself was really over cooked. Only thing that saved it was the pineapple sprinklings. The tostones on theside were over fried, not edible. I should have asked for a vegetable instead bc kind of weird pairing anyway. I ate my mealbc I was starving. Waitstaff was excellent for the duration of our meal. We also ordered honey chipotle wings which perhapswas put in by mistake as hot wings bc zero honey, otherwise good. And as someone mentioned in another comment the music issimply too loud. Very difficult to have conversation without yelling. Drinks were solid and the chicken sandwich enjoyed anddevoured. This place has amazing food, but service is terribly slow. We have dined in and we have ordered take out. Servers are great, but... I don?t know what is happening with that kitchen. Multiple times we have called, they?re always out of chicken, burgers, veggiePattie?s, etc. This is a bar, how do you run out of food? I have never run into a situation like this in my life. Food was good and the place was nice but I felt ripped off after the bill comes with a 20% Service fee on top of the fact that... I?m gonna tip 20%. What bugs me about this kind of thing is the deception. If the menu says a burger is $9.95 and I order thatburger, then I should be charged $9.95 plus any applicable sales tax, and any additional money I want to pay to thank the staffshould be voluntary. If you have to charge $11.95 to provide that burger, pay your staff fair wages and benefits, and make anhonest profit for the owner, then don't hide a service fee in fine print at the bottom of the menu, just charge $11.95 for theburger, and let me make an informed choice on whether or not I'm willing to pay that much. That's how every other product andservice works. I have no objection to owners making an honest profit and employees earning a fair wage and benefits, just behonest about the cost. Read more

We had a nice experience here. We came on a date with friends of ours for a small birthday dinner. The food was surprisingly... Cuban. Their menu was filled with empanadas, steaks, and salads. All four of us fully cleared our plates. Thw cocktail were onthe stronger side. We suggest either 1 or 2, or just getting a beer/wine. Our only issue was the speed of the service. Came out to New Milford to hang with some friends and we found our way to Barrel & Brew Craft Bar? first off, the vibes are... everything? the staff is amazing and the drinks are fire? the food was amazing, a bit cold by the time it came out but even socouldn?t help but enjoy every single bite. For apps we had empanadas, chicharrón, wings, coconut shrimp and the garlicshrimps? we shared and every single bite was worth it. Entree I had me the ribeye steak which I couldn?t even finish cause itwas HUGE? but def leaving fully satisfied. Oh and did I mention that halfway through our meal? a live band pulled up. I wouldhave given 4 stars as there is always room for growth however, between the band and the staff was which was so kind, generousand extremely attentive. I Came here and did some outdoor dinning on a Friday night. I have to say that the place was definitely covid friendly. They had... spaced out tables staff was wearing masks and gloves the whole time. They had some really good music playing and honestly it wasa whole vibe there. We went inside first before the outdoor table was ready. The inside was really nice with a live DJ which waskeeping the place very vibrant. This is def a nice date night place if you are not in a rush. The service was not good. I knowthat the place was packed but the service we experienced was not good. We ordered drinks only to be told three different beerswe ordered they did not have. The menu is not up to date. The servers did take a while to attend to us when we sat outsidebecause we were out of site our of mind. I had to call over the staff multiple times to order food and drinks. It was a niceplace for the vibe don't get my wrong. But the service was so bad that it frustrates me and my group. Read more
