This a seriously tasty Australian style all day brunch spot, with great coffee and a stylish interior. A nice spot also to try... some NOLA inspired brunch food. The wait can be quiet long for a table and the service was also slow. Read more

Great food! Had the vegan breakfast with pancakes. Best pancakes I've ever had. Portion size are very large. Service is fast and... staff is chatty (if you'd like). If you go for the vegan breakfast, suggestion is to split the pancakes add on between twopersons. Read more

Our server was terrific. Thank you, Bailey, for being so sweet! I truly enjoyed having you as our server. Let’s be honest this... place is overrated. It comes way too highly recommended for the food to pretty much be basic. Although my potatoes were nicelyseasoned, my chicken sandwich was not so much. The presentation was very nice (please see photos), appetizers were also verydelicious, but the meal was not worth the hour wait outside in the rain. The hostess was friendly when we first arrived;however, when checking to see where on the list, we were met with extreme attitude. Understandable that this is a busyestablishment; however, to be met with attitude honestly made me want to leave. However, I decided to give it a chance. I mostlikely will not return to this establishment should I choose to come back to NOLA. Read more

Great atmosphere. The drinks were better than the food. Their handmade drinks are the BEST! I mean I've never had anything like... them. Worth a visit just to pop in and buy the lemonades. Read more

What a wonderful little gem in NOLA! My husband follows a mostly plant-based diet, so I’m always on the lookout for good vegan... joints when we are traveling. We both had the vegan bearcat—tofu scramble, crispy potatoes, black bean sausage—with veganpancakes on the side. Everything we ordered was delicious, but we both felt like the potatoes were too charred and salty for us.Also, the bottled juices we got were so refreshing! BearCat had a nice ambiance and the staff member who took care of us wassuper friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that this place doesn’t let you make reservations. We had to stand aroundfor ~40 minutes outside in the scorching heat (not particularly fun while seven months pregnant). Other than that, this placestood out as one of our top vegan spots in the city. It’s worth the wait, but please, please start accepting reservations. Read more

OMG! If you are looking for what I feel has to be the BEST brunch experience EVER, fun staff, great hangout and perfect... atmosphere indoors and outdoors, then you will love BEARCAT. Suggest to get in their wait list for seating because this place ispopular but our wait wasn't long at all. Once seated we ordered mimosas (very good) and my wife got the Steak, egg and cheeseburrito bowl with some bacon and I got the Vegan Ranchero with egg whites and Cauliflower grits and it was so amazing! Everything came out quick, the food was fresh and flavorful with his size portions. If don't order pickup when we leave NOLA,I'm definitely coming back to eat here when I visit NOLA again! Quick note: check the website out for menu and options. Also, they do not take reservations or call in reservations so it is a walk up on a first come, first serve basis. I would plan fora 30 minute wait (which was perfect for a cigar) and keep an eye out for the text notification to let you know your table isready. Again, very popular place to get brunch but it's well worth a little waiting. Read more

My brother and I had high hopes for Bearcat - the menu looked great and the hostess was really friendly and let us know we'd get... a text when our table was ready, which meant we could go for a coffee nearby without worrying we'd miss our spot. However, whenwe arrived within our allocated 7 minutes time period (they give you that amount of time to return, which is reasonable), wewere told we were taken off the list. Thankfully the server showed us to a table before I could complain about being back intime for our booking, so I'm not sure why she mentioned it if there was no issue being show to a table. We ordered the Cat Daddy(+ extra $1 for it to be hot I think? Not totally clear) and the Scallop + Grits with added fried oysters (+ extra $4 foroysters), a side of black beans and 2 mimosas. The mimosas were lovely, but the dishes were very heavily seasoned - the scallopswere quite inedible due to this, and you could see rocks of salt on them. The cajun chicken had a great coating and the meat wassoft, but again it was very salty. The biscuit and oysters were tasty, and the black beans helped to calm the saltiness down abit, but $5 for some beans that had been shown some herbs and put on the plate was very expensive. The thing that made thisexperience less of a positive one was the service itself. Our server was very inattentive, and brought our bill without checkingif we wanted anything else when we were only halfway through our dishes. We didn't even get a chance to express our issues withthe dishes as she was rushing around so much. All of the staff seemed a bit stressed/under pressure, and it felt like they werejust to get people in and out as swiftly as possible. Maybe it's different when it's quieter/ not during a weekend, but overallour experience was not a positive one and we wouldn't return. Read more

What’s not to enjoy?! The ambiance, customer service, food and drinks places this restaurant at the top of my food lists! I... ordered crab scramble topped with asparagus and potatoes; I added bacon and toast on the side. The flavors meshed so welltogether for sure. I wasn’t a fan of the cappuccino but I didn’t complain. There is adequate seating inside and outside. Gosee the cat ?????? I recommend Read more
