I've always loved Landry's! I usually go to the one on the lake-- both are the same. I stopped by yesterday while walking in the... quarters. Ordered the Sparkling Lavender it was perfect and very refreshing in that hot day. It was our first time there and i was impressed with the excellent customer service, since we stepped in until we left the... restaurant. When we went In we did not know what to order and the waiter took the time to point out some of the localsfavorite and his personal favorites too he definitely went above and beyond with his service. Just had a fantastic meal at Landry's! Our server, Jean, was great. Very knowledgeable and took her time to give recommendations... and details about the drinks and food selections. We highly recommend the Redfish Hemingway and Shrimp Alfredo! They also had aninteresting twist on an Old Fashion and Mule that was tasty! Read more
Brought some friends here for oysters, appetizers and drinks. The crawfish bread is a must have, very delicious! The oyster bar... trash was very good, but the portion could have been bigger. We dined here one night and sat at the bar one night while waiting for friends and a carriage ride reservation. It's quite... obvious that this place only gets by on location; it's poorly managed and staffed by servers without any care or personality. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to the Corner Oyster House; service, food, and drinks are all excellent. Thesaving grace of Landry's is the food. Both fish dishes we had were well-seasoned and the sides were tasty. The service was poorboth for dinner and at the bar. Our dinner waitress should still have been training or shadowing as she had little idea what shewas doing nor did she ever smile or have any personality. At the bar the next night on a Sunday, I was the only customer at thebar. The bartender took my order then proceeded to have a 5 minute argument with a server about a wine order from upstairs inthe dining area, never once looking at me or apologizing for the delay. Of course, when he finally decided that I was worthy ofservice, he forgot my order and asked again. My wife's Bailey's and coffee cream was ice cold with no whipped cream. When shetook it back, they took it upstairs and microwaved it in the same styrofoam cup it came in and never added the cream.Afterwards, the rest of our party tried to get a bar order before our carriage ride and were ignored at the same empty bar for10 minutes while the bartender only fielded waitress orders. Great thing is that they're less busy during dinner time and can accomodate large groups. Appetizers were decent, were not the... best quality but ok. The lobster tail was good, scallops also cooked well, not overly seasoned and butter served on the side.Mashed potatoes were also very well done and seasoned to perfection.
