First of all sesame that you see is after i added some from my own kitchen.. this chicken is totally over cooked and barely... possible to eat. Its basically couple of chuncks dropped in a gallon of soume kind of sauce. This dish... because id never callit sesame chicken... is some kind of a joke. The food tastes great, but dear lord are the portions tiny. I got like a half cup of fried rice, what seemed to be 2 asparagus... cut into 8 pieces and a very tiny portion of meat. Expect to be hungry again after eating here! Read more
I'd had Mikimoto before, but went last night for the first time in person with my partner. As much as I want to like it, the... sushi was warm and did not taste fresh at all. Flavor was not really there and did not correlate well to their pricing. Drinkselection was also quite weak and they didn't have limes ?? I'd recommend any other sushi place in the city. 2/10 service wasmediocre. Read more
Easy ordering online (order directly from their website? not via Google or ordering apps) Delicious food, great quality and they... always provide accurate orders. They have a drive through take out pick up window which makes it so easy. Read more
I?ve ordered from Mikimoto plenty of times - they?re my work lunch go to. I ordered the chirashi sushi lunch again and today... they included far less fish than usual. Usually 2 slices are included of every piece of fish but today several slices weremissing, egg was missing completely, and others were small end pieces. Doubling up on the cucumber does not hide all the barerice. Is this a cost cutting measure? I would rather just pay the extra up front. Read more
Really terrible experience. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra steamed vegetables. The "vegetables" that come with the... chicken teriyaki are what look to be 2 sticks of asparagus cut into ugly pieces. The extra order of steamed vegetables cost aridiculous $7 and weirdly had celery in it (don't think I've ever seen celery at a Japanese restaurant before). They also took20 minutes longer to give me my order than they had initially said. Because the drive through line was so long, I went insidethinking that would be faster to pick up my order. Every time I told them my name, they seemed confused like they didn't know Ihad an order, but didn't communicate that. Then, they finally realized my order had been sitting there the whole time gettingcold. Then, I couldn't even leave the restaurant because there is stupidly marked parking spots next to the drive through, socars can park and physically block the drive through line and other cars from leaving the restaurant. With a friendly staff and great food you can't go wrong! Absolutely the freshest fish available! The place is second to none.... Top of the line sushi rolls and fresh sashimi.
