Picked up a pizza and salad last night. Got a referral abour Crazy Italian pizza from a friend. I have plenty of good pizza... choices closer to home but I'm glad I decided to drive to Lakeview. Pizza was really good (ordered a meat lovers). Capresesalad as good any 5 star restaurant but served in a casual but clean neighborhood family type of place. Im sold Crazy ItalianTeam. We ordered grubhub from them today (2 Stromboli and a chicken parm sandwich). When the driver got here, we noticed that the... sandwich was missing and she said that all they gave her was the 2 stromboli. I called the restaurant, and sure enough mysandwich was there. The guy I talked to was really rude and acted like it was my fault, never even apologized. When I said Iwould not send the grubhub driver back, he tells me he will talk to the "chef" and call me back. He NEVER called to evenapologize. Make sure you check your orders when you order anything from them! Read more

Wow!! I have not been to NY in 15 years yet when I went to The Crazy Italian for pizza a couple weeks ago, I felt like I was... back in NY. They have real authentic NY pizza! Absolutely fantastic!! I brought 5 pizzas back home to Alabama for friends andfamily as I knew they would love it also. And, for those with very discerning tastes, the Gelato is also exceptional...straightfrom Italy!! Pizza is solid and it's definitely one of the better NY Style Pizza places around town. However, this place is vastly... overpriced. It's a shame cause the food is good, but + $30 for 1 pizza is a little ridiculous. edit: Owners replied with a veryrude response and obviously cannot handle any criticism. The food is good, the prices are a little unreasonable. End of story. Ilive very close by and will never go to this place again nor will I ever recommend it after the extremely unprofessionalresponse the owners left on my review. Read more

By far one of the best pizza places (if not the best) in the city of New Orleans. I’ve lived here for 23 years and this hidden... gem does not disappoint. I HIGHLY recommend the Crazy Italian to everyone I know looking for a good Pizza. Read more

Cozy, local family-owned restaurant with friendly staff. The chef is a culinary school graduate which shows in the spaghetti,... pizzas, and dessert like this one pictured. Read more

In my experience, the promise of a "New York Style" pizza in New Orleans is nothing more than an attempt to upsell a thin crust... pizza. This was a welcome departure from that trend. I will have to try them again before saying they were the best I've had inthe city, but I am comfortable crowning them top three without reservation. The dough baked into a crisp exterior encasing alight interior with a slight chew to it. Resting above the dough was a supple sauce that balanced sweet and savory flavors. Thesauce's consistency harmonized the cheese above it with the crust below. It was neither too thick to overpower the slice nor sothin that it turns a crispy crust into a soggy slice. In summary, this was as perfect a pie as I've had in New Orleans. Read more
