Visited again today . Waited 15 minutes for waitress . Waited 30 mins for food. Now exactly 1 hour ?Still waiting ..hope to... get some food . Had decent beer menu. Compared to other breweries beer were average tasting. Pricey. Beer,burgers with frieswas good but not something I am so looking forward to go back. Parking and cleanliness of place is a big plus. I came with 3 friends and were seated at a table at the bar. It was close to 20 min before a server came over to tell us she'd... be back. About another 10 min she returned by saying "I'm back" with no acknowledgment to how long we had waited. Took ourorder only to return 10 min later to say you were out of sangria, you were then out of wine. We ordered ciders. The appetizernever came out. After awhile a friend asked if our food was cooking or close to being ready and she returned to say it would beout in 2 min. We got burgers and sandwiches finally after an hour there. Food was very good but service was horrible. Servernever checked in except 1 time after we had food, never said sorry about waiting so long, never ever explained what took solong. After getting the bill there was a non cash service fee and we were never asked how we were paying. I get credit cardscharge a fee, but shouldn't customers be asked how they're paying instead of assuming? The server did remove it when asked. Ihave had more positive experiences here but this was really bad. We saw other tables leave because they got tired of waiting. Very disappointing visit. Read more
I haven't been here in years, back when it was Guilded Otter and I ended many hikes here. Service was good and prompt and good... came out pretty quickly. Ordered Ruben sandwich and very tasty, truffle fries were outstanding. Lots of seating inside and out,place gets very crowded and fun during the summer their brew selection is good and packaged goods to go! Read more
4.29.22 After visiting Mohonk Mountain House we stopped here for a quick bite and brew and loved it! Service was quick,... friendly, and the food came out hot. My IPA was perfect. I had the patty melt and my friend had the grilled cheese, soup, andcider. We ate every bite. Brewery had a good vibe, ample parking, all good. Read more
Pros: The menu is great, there were a lot of options I wanted to try. Love the beer and the food is great. Our waitress was very... friendly. I appreciated how spaced out the tables were. The burger was delicious and the turkey sandwich was great. I?d get theturkey sandwich again. Cons: The burger, though great, was a mess and kind of hard to eat. Service was pretty slow. There was ahuge group of kids upstairs and they were running all over the place right above our heads which was super loud. There was awaitress (not in our section) who kept coming to the bar near where we were sitting and loudly ranting about an issue with amanager. It happened on and off the entire time we were there and honestly created a slightly stressful experience. Update: ourmost visit after multiple visits- Super quiet Wednesday night. I asked for my burger to be medium well but I got this burnt to acrisp, crunchy campfire charcoal burger patty? I don?t think I?d ever come back here for food. Disappointing! Read more
Stumbled upon this place for lunch and was so glad we did. Food was fantastic. Highly recommend the French Onion grilled cheese.... Great for a fall or winter day. Beer was pretty good, too. Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out very quickly.We were seated upstairs, which was nice and quiet. Would definitely return next time I'm in the area. Read more
The same building as the old Gilded Otter with a porch expansion. The beer is slightly better but the food remains... mediocre. Staff seems overworked and it had more of a ?chain restaurant ? vibe then a brewpub. The wait staff say getting asampler flight it would take a while because they were busy which was okay. However they wouldn?t let me take a simple photofrom the upstairs because it was closed and took a abrasive attitude. Not exactly friendly. Excellent! Stopped here yesterday after a 5 hour hike in Minnewaska. It's a great location with a nice view. All of the staff... were friendly, efficient and our waitress smelled really nice! The beer and burger hit the spot and we didn't have to wait toolong for it, which is appreciated when you're hungry. Also, the bathrooms were clean, the soap dispenser, paper towels and binwere all functionally placed. Hats off to management! We'll be back soon. Read more
