Was excited to celebrate a birthday with a friend, however received very poor service and was rushed out. Was told the kitchen... closed while receiving an entree, the music was turned off, and every chair was turned up and was given a check in the middle ofmy meal after stating I was still eating. Their website states they close at 10pm and we arrived at 8:45 and were rushed out thedoor around 9:20 with no explanation or apology about closing early that evening. As a service industry worker I totallyunderstand wanting to get home, however this was totally unacceptable and rude, it was extremely uncomfortable andunprofessional and we had to walk to the server station to get our own containers. I have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants, and I would rate this place below average. When I ordered a burrito there was no... lettuce or tomatoes in the burritos, except for a few pieces on the side. There was very little meat in the burrito. I would sayit was 90% rice. I recommend not eating at this place. Read more
Great margaritas, great food, and solid atmosphere. The waitress was so friendly / joked around with us, and I anticipate coming... back in the future. Not a huge Mexican food fan, so I’m pleasantly surprised by this relatively new addition to New paltz!Congrats on the opening / I am looking forward to coming again! Read more
We have been here so many times and have always enjoyed our food and service. Disappointed to say we won’t be returning after... tonight as we are disgusted with their service. They list that they are open until 10pm so we tried placing an order online at9:00pm and it wouldn’t work. We attempted to call but couldn’t reach anyone. We then walked into the doors at 9:12pm askingto place a small order to go and we were told they were closed. They were still serving a table inside and they were not busy atall. The girl had an attitude and made a face so we walked out. We called a similar styled restaurant with the same hours andthey happily took our order. Very disappointed in this service from a restaurant we used to love. Won’t be returning. Read more
The bar is very nice with a substantial menu of beer and cocktails. The margs are huge and very worth the cost. Unfortunately... I’m only giving 3 stars because of the poor atmosphere and rude wait staff. The music plays much too loud for the place,it’s hard to even have a conversation. The staff looked short handed, but that’s still no excuse to be short and rude withcustomers asking questions. I’d go back for drinks but probably not for food again. The wet burrito I ordered was $15 and camewith no sides, just some lettuce. Read more
Solid Mexican food- kind of reminds me of chevys. Fajitas were decent, quac was great- I was disappointed that the queso was... more like melted craft singles. NOTHING is spicy- the salsas etc. all need a kick and everything needed salt. The tortillasseemed store bought but everything else seemed fresh and the chicken was juicy. Not disappointed at all. I love Mexican food, but truthfully it’s all the same no matter where you go. However, the... atmosphere, the staff, the freshness, and the prices were all extremely satisfying. The food was really good and presentationwas great. We go here more often than our wallets would like. Their chips are fresh and warm, so delicious. Food is authentic and tasty.... The cheesecake chimichanga is an amazing dessert. Portions are generous and staff is friendly. Recommend to anyone looking for agood meal in New Paltz. Read more
