Feeling quite relaxed after a long weekend getaway up at Mohonk. We were lucky to have the fall foliage alongside some beautiful... sunshine so we took many walks around the property, hiked up to the sky tower, canoed around the lake for a bit, & reallyenjoyed taking afternoon tea in the Lake Lounge.\n\nThe one thing I?d love to see adjusted here would be the meal-planning. Wefound that the only thing that ?interrupted? our leisurely weekend was having to stick to a food schedule as we had to reserveour food times in advance. Any other all-inclusive we?ve stayed at had at least one ?come and go as you please? restaurantarrangement for all meals of the day and 24-hour room service which is handy for those that are looking to get away from theirnormally scheduled lives. We absolutely loved being able to sleep in and go have a casual breakfast by the fireplace in the LakeLounge and definitely preferred that to taking breakfast at a scheduled time in the main dining room. We were delighted with ourBrunch at The Foundry as it was DELICIOUS and I wish we would?ve eaten there more but now we know for next time.\n\nAll-in-all,would definitely recommend if you?re looking to get away for the weekend and enjoy all New England has to offer. We?ll bereturning with our kids, most definitely the same time of year as it was gorgeous! Read more

Rooms are small and very expensive but lovely. Dinner in the main Dining room is great, lunch buffet is ok. We reserved a time... in the Granary for dinner on Thursday night and were put in the main dining room because the Granary is closed on Fridays, whichdidn\'t make sense and just seemed like a miscommunication. So we had dinner Thursday AND lunch Friday in the main dining room(lunch was buffet and didn\'t seem necessary to make a reservation) and never got to check out the Granary.\nThe hiking wasgreat, the lake was beautiful, the grounds were wonderful. The price is steep, but for a special occasion, this place isfantastic. Read more

The renovated room was gorgeous, service was terrific and overall vibe was peaceful. The public spaces are clean and mostly... fresh. It is a truly beautiful spot but the dining/ food situation could use a total revamp. It?s all inclusive but really notthat good (6/10 maybe)? charge a little less for the stay and have people pay for their desired meals. I imagine there is A LOTof waste with this current model.\nAlso the mineral pool and outside patio at the spa needs to be replaced and expanded toaccommodate the amount of guests. Read more

My family started visiting Mohonk in the 1940s. I\'ve been here many times, and brought my 10 year old daughter for her first... visit recently. We had an absolutely fantastic time. I loved reliving my childhood experiences with her. The hotel and groundshaven\'t changed- which is a great thing. I think the food has actually improved over the years. My only suggestion would be togo back to some of the hotel\'s old standards regarding dress- especially in the dining room. Read more

Got married here. The hotel is in an exquisite natural setting. Recently visited again and went hiking. Nice trails, some get... more challenging. Lovely little streams and shady areas. There?s a lookout on one of the trails and there?s a breathtaking viewof the Mountain House and the surrounding mountains. Read more

This historical place is absolutely beautiful. I Immediately felt welcomed. The scenery is breathtaking! I was so impressed... with this place. Very thought out hiking/walking trails for all levels. The handmade wood carved covered seats all over theproperty with their own unique characteristics and outdoor porches with rocking chairs overlooking the lake was so serene. Thank you Mohawk and the wonderful staff for making my stay and much needed relaxation a reality. Look forward to coming back. Read more

What a treasure. We had such a great time. Yes, you?re going to pay a lot for either a day (not hiking) pass, or an overnight,... but you will get your money?s worth. She did a spa treatment and raved about it. We walked the grounds and house for a goodportion of the day. The lake was enjoyable, we even found paths that were rarely taken that lead to spectacular views. Themain dining was nice, good food and better views. Exceptional staff. Will definitely be doing this again. Read more

We were looking forward to our experience at Mohonk - and we really loved the views, shoutout to Anthony - the very personable... and friendly guide who took us hiking, as well as the staff at the boathouse. The hikes are fantastic, and the views from allaround - truly breathtaking!\n\nThe service however is another story. When I booked our dates, I mentioned to the agent aboutour family being vegetarian and was assured we would be taken care of in the best possible way. For the amount I was paying, Iwas hoping this would be a lot of fun.\nThe menu seems to cater only to meat eaters, with a few things thrown in like salads andfries for the vegetarian/vegans. The dinner menu had nothing vegetarian in it, and all they could do was a tofu stir fry! I\'vebeen to all-inclusive resorts, and this was quite the disappointment. The service - apart from one or two people in therestaurant, is seriously in need of some training.\n\nAs we were leaving, the valet brought out our car, and we noticed a bunchof scratches and dents that we told them about - they took pictures and said would get back after checking security cameras, butas I expected, we apparently \"drove in with those scratches\".\nPricey place, with peanuts to offer in the name of customerservice.
