By far the best hospitality and compassion. What started as an awkward question after ordering. They asked, what are my plans... today. I said "being with my dad whose in the hospital" he has leukemia and his blood levels get really low and he has to behospitalized. So when I got to the window, they gave me my food and coffee and then proceeded to hand me a cake pop for my dadand I. This just showed me that compassion and hospitality still exists in the industry. It's the smallest things that happen inthe lowest moments. Truly an amazing staff and thank you! Like most, I often get tricked into thinking that Starbucks has good coffee or good food bc of the perceived popularity or speed... to which you can get it. However, in New Smyrna Beach, I encourage visitors and locals to visit the multitude of better options.For food, Mon Delice is 100 feet down from Starbucks. Mon Delice?s Breakfast sandwiches and French pastries are a million timesbetter and fresh. Or if you?re looking for a deli sandwich and really good coffee - island roasters is on N Causeway. If youwant something closer to the beach, then you have Cool Beans or Beachie Beans which both have nice places to sit, in addition togreat coffee and small bites; muffins, pie, gelato etc. I?ll step off my pedestal now and simply say that I hope to see you atone of those coffee places. Side note - this review is not against the staff at Starbucks as most have been friendly. Thisreview is against an establishment that provides a lower quality of coffee and food to its consumers, then chokes out thecompetition in the area, leaving us with fewer options. Read more
