Olde Homestead is an absolutely incredible spot for a wedding. The ceremony spot overlooking the water is gorgeous and reminded... me of Ireland! For food, we chose the Gypsy Social package for dinner, because we love snacks and appetizers and it was thebest! The food was delicious, it was impossible to pick a favorite. Jill kept things moving the day of the event and made surethat my husband and I had food all night. We got many, many comments from our guests about how great the food was and how uniquethe whole night was. We ended the night with fireworks, which was incredible. I would give the Olde Homestead 11/10 stars if I could! Not only is the venue naturally absolutely stunning, but the staff goes... out of their way to make sure everything on your big day goes according to plan and they really know how to make the bride andgroom and their guests feel special. Wedding planning can be extremely stressful but Jill, Leah, and the Olde Homestead teamtook all the stress out of the process so that we were able to enjoy every single step along the way. From making sure the menuwas exactly what we wanted, to designing florals that were more perfect than we ever could have imagined, we always felt likethey genuinely cared about us and wanted to make sure our day was perfect. The food was incredible, hands down the best we’veever had at a wedding! Being the bride and groom you might think we are just biased, but we heard from every single guest howamazing the food was and how no other wedding venue can compare. Not only did the food taste great, but the dinner service wasexceptionally well done. We did a buffet for 120 guests and no one could believe how quickly all guests had their food. Food wasserved faster than any sit down dinner or buffet event we have ever been to. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate forour outdoor ceremony, but Jill and they rest of the team did not let that put a damper on our day. She drove us around outsidein the rain, wind, and cold to make sure we got property photos because she knew how much it meant to us to have them. She waswilling to stand outside in the pouring rain for our ceremony if that was what we wanted. When we made the last minute decisionto move things inside, she turned the room around in a matter of minutes and set up a gorgeous ceremony space. None of ourguests ever knew there was a last minute change and everyone was amazed at how gorgeous, cozy, and intimate the ceremonywas. My daughter was recently married at Olde Homestead Golf Club. From the flowers to the food and everything in between it was... absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough nice things about the wedding planner, Jill. She told us at the initial meeting that herjob was to make sure that the event was run flawlessly and if there was a problem the bride and groom would never know. Shedidn't go back on her word. A decision about the ceremony being inside or outside had to be made by 3 p.m. When the radarlooked good for the ceremony time they began to decorate outside. However, Mother Nature had a different plan. When the skiesopened up 10 minutes before the ceremony was to begin Jill and her staff quickly shifted gears to create a beautiful indoorceremony space. There was some initial concern about lines forming at the buffet. Jill assured us that it would be no differentthan a sit-down dinner in that the guests would not be waiting on a long line to prepare their dish. She was 100% correct. I'venever been to an event with a buffet that was executed so effortlessly. No one waited more than a minute or two to get throughthe line. Their system was amazing. And the food was delicious. Leah did an amazing job with the flowers. From the bouquets tothe table arrangements everything was beautiful. She listened to what the bride and groom envisioned and connected it with herartistic abilities to create arrangements that were beyond beautiful. Fantastic golf course. I played this course a lot about ten years ago when I was in college, but haven't play it since then. It... is just as nice now as it was back then (maybe even better now). The course set up is very fun, challenging, and will force youto think about different shot options. Some holes are wide open, while others require a maximum precision to avoid water or outof bounds areas. Each hole could be a birdie opportunity or a high number. The entire course was well-maintained from tee boxesto the greens. I would recommend to anyone in the Lehigh Valley area. Read more
Beautiful views! Course signage very weak. It has GPS on the carts but the tee boxes should be marked with at least a Hole # and... yardage per color of tee. The deck was nice and the food was an extra delicious. We ordered four different sandwiches and we allwere 100% satisfied! Read more
Olde Homestead is a beautiful, rustic venue that was a perfect fit for our families that came from farming backgrounds while... also having a modern flair with beautiful lighting, lounge space, patio and bridal room. The food is also outstanding – fromthe appetizers to the main meal, everything was hot and delicious. Our friends and family raved about how beautiful the venuewas and also how it was arguably the best wedding food they’d ever eaten. Leading up to the wedding, we appreciated theprompt responses and impressive organization from our event planner, but sometimes felt that she was underwhelmed or slightlyjudgmental by the decisions we were making which was frustrating, but we acknowledged that everyone has different tastes so wedidn’t say anything. On the day of our wedding, we felt that our event planner was slightly underdressed wearing a jeanjacket to our wedding and we also didn’t appreciate her lack of flexibility throughout our event. We acknowledge that atimeline is important for the ceremony to start on time and to make sure that people are served food at an appropriate hour, butwe also knew there was built in cushion time so we didn’t appreciate that we felt rushed at different periods and that sheoverrode one of the decisions we made during our event (whether we should go take photos with each dinner table or to haveBM/MOH speeches first – so really nothing that would impact the staff so should have been our decision). Unfortunately, wealso felt that some of our vendors were intimidated by her abrasive nature and not comfortable asking her questions since theywere coming to us with questions that we know they’d normally go to an event manager with since we’ve interacted with themat events previously.
